Drops Big Delight is the “big sister” to Drops Delight, spun the same way, but in 100% wool. Big Delight is also thicker and comes in skeins of 100g. The multi coloured "magic print" with long colour repetitions creates unique patterns and exciting colour combina- tions. Sea Wool is a wonderfully soft combination of 70% merino wool and 30% seacell (a fibre made from seaweed) and we have it in 8 beautiful “semi-solid” colourways. Each 350m/112g is hand dyed in Mineville, Nova Scotia by Fleece Artist and it’s machine washable. This beautiful yarn is often featured in designs by Ilga Leja (also from Nova Scotia). Barb used Sea Wool to make a Manon shawl and you can, too. We have several suggestions for patterns to use with this yarn (see page 3). We have some excellent workshops that we only run once a year and you shouldn’t miss out on them. Learn an “afterthought” heel and how to knit fair isle style in Cynthia’s Christmas Stocking workshop. You’ll also change colours and get a Kitchener Stitch lesson. Learn to knit in the round, change colours, read a chart and make your own designs in the Christmas Ornament Balls workshop. Get knitting in the round on both a circular and double pointed needles in the Felted Tea Cozy workshop. Try the new Drops Big Delight for a selfstriping, amazing tea cozy. Want to make socks? Quick socks? Try our Felted Christmas Slippers and get a sock lesson as well as learn how to felt. These slippers are really big socks and are knit in the round on large double pointed needles. We have a Crochet Crash Course for those who want to get “hooked”. Our January workshops have been posted as well and we’ll be getting February up and running soon. Barbara T. came in to our south store for a visit Barbara T. in her Natalie K. with her husand kindly modeled her “Philosopher’s Coat band in Highlander version of the crocheted, Philosopher’s Coat. Made with many colours and many different stitches and patterns, we were very impressed! Barbara liked the colour selection of our Cascade Pacific line. Natalie K. is a wonderful knitter. She used Regia Highlander and her own design to make this gorgeous cardigan for her husband. Our friend Sue T. has been Sue T.’s Bleeding making mittens! She made a Heart Shawl pair for Annabelle, as requested, in purple with crowns on them. And then a pair of mittens and a scarf for a friend using 100% alpaca (so soft!) The third pair above is made from Manos del Uruguay, RCY Epic and Cascade 220. The patterns for Sue’s mittens are in Cascade Yarns 60 Quick Knits.
