SUPPLY OF ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY SOCKS AND TIGHTS
1.
Ministries and Head of Departments are hereby informed that the framework
contract for the supply and delivery of Socks and Tights to entitled personnel to
Ministries, Government Departments and Parastatal Bodies in Malta and Gozo, has
been awarded to the following Contractor.

at the rates shown hereunder. Prices are delivered, exclusive of VAT, but inclusive
of Customs Import Duty, ECO Contribution (if any) and other charges as

This contract shall run up to the 31 May 2017.

Payments are to be made directly to the above-mentioned Contractor.

The technical specifications regulating this contract are attached. User departments
are to ensure that these conditions are strictly adhered to.
5.
This contract is also governed by the usual ‘General Conditions for Supply
Contracts’.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
1.
Male dark grey Summer Socks in assorted sizes 41 – 45.
(Estimated Quantity – 1000 pairs)
The socks are to be made of cotton/synthetic mixture with a minimum
cotton content of 40%, reinforced heel and toe. The hose height from
mid heel is to be a minimum of 26cms and a maximum of 34cms. The
weight per pair is to be between 30 and 40grms.

Male black Winter Socks in assorted sizes 41 – 45.
(Estimated Quantity – 1000 pairs)
The socks are to be made of wool/synthetic mixture with a minimum
wool content of 25%, reinforced heel and toe. The hose height from mid
heel is to be a minimum of 26cms and a maximum of 34cms. The weight
per pair is to be between 30 and 40grms.
3.
Beige Ladies Tights.
(Estimated Quantity – 100 pairs)
The tights are to be sheer with a 15 – 20 denier, reinforced panty and
toe.
