Coming Soon…The Snowflake Faire
On Saturday, December 6, St. Luke’s Guild will present the annual Snowflake Faire, a holiday bazaar
with a large variety of items for sale, from new and handcrafted goods to resale items and homemade
baked goods.
We are asking for donations of gently used ”treasures” such as knick-knacks, Christmas décor,
jewelry, purses, books, toys and hobby equipment, small working appliances, dishes and kitchenware, linens, and almost any kind of household goods. Please, no clothing or large items like
furniture, bicycles or tv’s. Items may be brought to the tables in the northeast corner of the
Parish Hall. Call Marilyn Otto at 777-9262 with any questions or suggestions about the Treasure
Trove.
We also need donations for our Pantry of your always tasty homemade goodies such as cookies,
candy, jams and jellies, pickles, breads, etc. Please wrap and pre-price pantry items in small
quantities and bring them to the Parish Hall on Friday, December 5, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. or on
Saturday, December 6, before 9:30 a.m. Call Marty Gustafson at 819-5361 with any questions.
Thanks in advance for your generous donations to the Snowflake Faire.
All profits will be used to support the Guild’s programs within the church and the community.

and I are members and staunch supporters, will
present our Fall Concert on Saturday evening
November 22, 2014, at 7:00 PM and again on
Sunday afternoon the 23rd at 3:00 PM. We sing in
the Worship Theater of the Salvation Army KROC
Center on Ramsey Road in Coeur d'Alene.
The major work of this concert is Brahms' Requiem,
one of the most beloved sacred works of all time.
Unique from all other requiem masses, this work
doesn't ask us to pray for the dead or warn about
hell and damnation, but rather seeks to comfort the
living and affirm that those who trust in the Lord,
and who die in the Lord, are indeed the most blessed
of all. We draw from our own talent for soloists –
Jeanne McPherson, Soprano and Charles Etheridge,
Baritone – with organ, piano and Chamber Orchestra accompaniment.

“Socks of Love”
Service Project
The Daughters of the King (DOK) “Socks of Love” service project
will be on Saturday, November 15, at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall.
DOK is an Episcopal women’s group that dedicates itself to prayer
and service. All women from St. Luke’s are invited to participate.
Girl Scouts from Troop 3032 will join us again this year.
We sew embellishments onto socks and give them to North Idaho
Violence Prevention Center and St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho’s
Transitional Housing (both are located in Coeur d’Alene).
We are accepting sock donations, if you would like to contribute.
Please place any donated socks in the DOK Book Box outside the
Parish Hall.
