The North River Minor Hockey Girls Novice A Stanley Cupcakes Are Eying Up the Grand Prize From sportsmanship to skills to fun, these 14 girls have learned icing isn’t just for cupcakes For the first time in Island hockey history there are finally enough novice girls participating to make up four teams. One team having a year to remember, both on and off the ice, is the North River Minor Hockey Stanley Cupcakes. You may remember The Stanley Cupcakes as one of ten PEI teams who participated in the Rogers Cheer like Never Before contest. The Stanley Cupcakes came out on top and are representing Prince Edward Island in this national competition. They are looking for the help of Islanders to vote for their team cheer, so they can enjoy the ultimate hockey experience that includes: a VIP trip to an NHL® game, a meet and greet with players and alumni, and a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform their cheer live in an NHL dressing room. What an opportunity for these Westwood Primary Grade 2 and Grade 3 girls! Voting is easy; visit www.hometownhockey.com everyday from March 29, to April 4, select The Stanley Cupcakes video and follow the instructions to submit your vote.
