IT Support Specialist (part time 30%-50%) Zattoo is Europe’s first and leading provider of Live TV over the internet. The Role The IT team is responsible for supporting and maintaining our IT systems and providing efficient desktop/laptop support to our whole team. We aim to resolve all IT related faults quickly and efficiently, including a broad range of queries from how to set up an email account to complex system diagnostics. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the desktop/laptop operating systems plus general maintenance of all IT related hardware/software, including printers, scanners, video conference equipment and network cables. The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT related projects and activities and the full spectrum of our business and team. It’s a great chance for someone who wants to learn IT and the new media business while working together with a fun, smart and helpful team. The Responsibilities Overseeing the day to day performance of computer systems. Diagnosing and resolving technical issues. Fault finding of laptops and desktops Providing assistance and support to colleagues in IT related matters. Answer inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems Providing support for installing/using printers, scanners, video conference equipment, network cables, etc. Setting up equipment for employee use; performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems and appropriate software Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts Creating purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software Ensuring licensing for all software purchased is recorded and maintained Referring major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service Working together with the IT and Ops teams to establish requirements for new systems or modifications The Minimum Qualifications Basic knowledge of o Operating systems - Windows and MAC OS and related day-to-day software email, office, etc. o Computer hardware o Office network setup o Peripheral usage - printers, scanners, etc. Problem solving skills A good eye for detail Up-to-date knowledge of technologies The Preferred Qualifications Deep knowledge and experience with operating systems including Mac OS X, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Ubuntu Linux Knowledge of how to setup and support different desktop software as well as e-mail environments (for example Google Apps, Office 365, etc.) Knowledge of networking infrastructure including switches and cabling architecture The Location Berlin, Germany.
