CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR NOOR PV I
Launch of Solar PV Projects of NOOR,
The Multi-technology Moroccan Solar Plan.
Morocco, through NOOR, held by Masen, aims at developing multitechnology solar power plants of a minimum total capacity of 2000 MW by
2020, which would represent 14% of the total installed capacity. These
projects will be using a technology mix that will best meet Morocco’s
needs.
Following the successful launch of the three first CSP power plants within
NOOR Ouarzazate Solar Complex, Masen starts the process for the
development of new solar power plants using photovoltaic technologies.
The NOOR PV I phase will include the development of the NOORo IV power
plant (between 50 and 70 MW capacity), located in Ouarzazate. It might
also include the projects of NOOR Laayoune and NOOR Boujdour, for a
capacity around 50MW each.
The NOOR PV I projects are expected to be developed under an IPP
(Independent Power Production) scheme, through an international
Request for Proposals, for the design, financing, construction, operation
and maintenance of these projects.
