Happy Kentucky Derby season to each of you!
All of a sudden, out of nowhere it’s a gorgeous spring and the (very early)
Kentucky Derby is upon us. And we at Cox’s LOVE it!
If you’ve attended Cox’s Derby Week events before you know just what a
treat they are; if this is your first time joining us for the festivities; welcome
and enjoy! For us the week is all about bourbon, fine wines, world class cigars and some of the best folks you could ever want to meet be they famous
or infamous.
This is the time of year when we celebrate all of the great tastes and themes
that make Kentucky unique and we enjoy showing it off to the rest of the
world and we hope you can take the time to join us at some of these great
events. As usual, we’ll be pouring world-class fine wines at our Hubbards
lane location as well as some very tasty offerings at several other locations.

We’ve got some very, very exciting things scheduled including a PAPPY VAN
WINKLE RAFFLE that will benefit the WHAS 11 Crusade for Children. You
can find more details on page 2. The raffle goes through Friday, May 29th at
6:00 so buy those tickets often-the money is going to a great, local cause
and you could just win that bottle you’ve been dreaming of getting your
hands on!
We’ll also be visited by some of our favorite people; Master Distillers Jimmy
Russell and Jim Rutledge of Wild Turkey and 4 Roses respectively as well as
the great cigar guys from General Cigar and Drew Estate! Plus, we’ll be out
at the track again this year. No matter where you are, we hope you get the
chance to attend one of our many events and take the time to enjoy this
wonderful madness known as Kentucky Derby season!

We at Cox’s feel your pain-there’s never enough Pappy released to take care of all of
our great customers who would love to get a bottle. This time around, we’ve got a
great solution to that situation: we’re holding TWO raffles. Beginning Monday,
April 27th you can purchase raffles tickets at your local Cox’s.
You get a chance to get your hands on a legendary Kentucky bourbon and help us
raise money for the much beloved WHAS 11 Crusade for Children.
For those of you interested, we’re raffling off two different sets of “Pappy.”
Set 1 tickets are $10.00 each includes 3 items:
Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year, Van Winkle 12 Year Old, Lot “B” and the Van Winkle Reserve Rye 13 Year.
Set 2 tickets are $20.00 each and consists of:
EVERY SINGLE BOTTLE in the Pappy Van Winkle lineup!! All 6 of them.
All proceeds benefit WHAS 11 CRUSADE FOR CHILDREN. The raffle runs
through the month of May with the drawing of winners (need not be present to win)
on Friday, May 29th at 6 PM at our Hubbards Lane location. Good luck to you

Cox’s Welcomes General Cigar & Drew Estate!
Derby Week is always a fun time for all of our cigar lovers and this years’ events will
continue to please our cigar lovers. We’ll be joined by our Reps from General Cigar
and Drew Estate for some in-store events as well as at Churchill Downs. The Reps will
have some great specials available and we’ll be running lots of great In-Store Cigar
Specials all week long;stop in daily to see what we’re featuring!
