Harvest Festival - Carldenn Homestead Wines

April 2015
Harvest Festival
On Saturday Derek, our resident
guitarist, has teamed up with
banjo player Gary Welsh. This I
have to see as Gary is a bit out
there and he says he can get loud
and won`t need a microphone!
Hi Folks
Hope you are all well and
enjoying this nice rain and cooler
weather, I sure am.
It`s that time of the year again
where we here in the Bickley
Valley celebrate the Harvest
so you can come and join us in
tasting the fruits of our labour.
Put the 2nd and 3rd of May in
your diary as a must do. Come
see how beautifully this region
is especially now everything has
turned green with the recent
rain.
We are doing extra things this
year for family enjoyment like
a brand new type of bouncy
castle, something I have not seen
before so this will be something
to entertain the kids while Mum
and Dad do some serious wine
tasting.
Weather permitting we are
trying to get some vintage cars
to come and show their brilliance
but that is a maybe.
As usual the Scouts will provide
the excellent hot beef rolls, so
for a great value meal get onto
one.
To go with your wine tasting you
will be able to purchase a cheese
platter specially prepared by
Kirsty. So look out for her she
will be only too pleased to help
you with the platters or any
other questions you may have.
Gem, a local camera club,
will be displaying a monster
photographic collection of all
the Harvest Festival participants
and customers. They will be
out and about happy snapping
so if you and your friends are
carldennwines.com.au
photographic material; just do it.
Tammy, myself and my son
Phillip will be serving you from
behind the bars and answering
your questions and helping you
to your car with all your cartons!!
On Sunday the 3rd, maestro
extraordinaire Dominic Zurzolo
will be playing guitar at his usual
brilliant best and maybe his
daughter will sing a few songs
for us. Look out them, a must
see.
A long-time friend, Matti
Dickinson, will be behind the bar
pouring the wine of your choice
with myself and Allan Blackburn.
If you have been before you will
remember Allan is a great artist
and if you ask him nicely he might
do a special design on your wine
bag as a memento of your visit to
Carldenn Homestead Wines.
All in all weather permitting it
should be a great weekend and
look forward to seeing you here.
All the best, Dennis.
