Social media and nursing: do’s and don’ts
Social media is not a fad. It is a fundamental shift in how
we see and interact with the world. It has been called
the biggest change in our society since the industrial
revolution. There are few that have not been affected by
the power of social media. From marketing and news
reporting to law enforcement and political revolutions,
social media is changing our world.
Social media is also changing the nursing profession. This
webinar will focus on how the professional use of social
media can benefit your nursing career, provide a wealth
of evidence-based information and spread the positive
impact of nursing. It will cover common issues faced by
nurses on social media, advice on how to avoid these
pitfalls and relevant policies and guidelines.
Topics covered include:
> Patient privacy
> Horizontal violence
> Maintaining a professional reputation
> Public perceptions
>Education
>Networking
>Conferences
> Raising your voice
