Our U11 girls played against Redhill in the Semi-Finals where we beat them. They then played
against Bryandale in the Final and WON!!
Well Done to our U11 girls who played outstanding Netball and proved themselves to be worthy
winners of the Montrose Night Series! We are so proud of you girls!
Our U13 girls played against Bryneven in the Semi-Finals and lost the game. They went on to play

Well Done to the U13 girls on their 4th place at Montrose Night Series. The girls did us proud as it
was the first time Crawford Lonehill had any teams in the Semi-Finals.
Special mention goes to Sasha Dikotla who won the award for best attack player of the tournament.

EXCITING TIMES FOR HOLLY AND SHAYLA
The Jungle Book at the People's Theatre in Johannesburg is showing from the 9th of
February until the 27th of April. Shayla Rae McFarlane (Martha from Sound of
Music) and Holly Bell, learners from Crawford Preparatory Lonehill, are 2 of the
children who have been selected from the children's casting, for the show. Shayla
and Holly will be playing the parts of a monkey and the young girl Ashanti. The
girls attended the first casting and then got a call back for the 2nd round of casting
calls. The requirements for the parts are singing, acting and movement. They have
had to do three weeks of rehearsals, which took place straight after school until 5pm
and Saturdays. Once they start performing there will be 2 shows a day and they will
have to perform between 2 and 4 days a week for 7 weeks. They are loving the
experience even though they have to balance their school work with performing.
Crawford Lonehill is exceptionally proud of their achievements!
FAREWELL CONCERT FOR AOI AND AKANE TOGASAKI
Please come to the music concert on Thursday 19 March at 18.30 in the
hall. This is Mrs Ackermann’s Annual Pupil Concert, as well as a farewell concert
to the Togasaki girls. Everybody is welcome. Aoi will perform on piano and harp,
and Akane will perform on piano. Aoi and Akane made an immense contribution
to the success of the Music Department in the last two years, and it will be their
last performance at the school. This will also be the last opportunity for anybody
to see a Crawford pupil perform on harp. We wish them all the best for their
return to Japan. Sayonara Aoi and Akane, it was wonderful having you.
