A tour of Northampton's Heritage and Countryside The race starts with a tour of Northampton's heritage. Starting at the Guildhall, touring the town centre and returning to the Guildhall before heading out of town for some picturesque countryside running. Where: The race start is located in the heart of Northampton. Registration will be located at The Old Bank opposite the Guildhall. Click here. The race Finishes in Delapre Country Park. When: On Sunday 6th September, 2015 at 09:30. Registration will open from 08.00. The Half Marathon will start at in front of the Guildhall. Minimum Pledge: £100.00 for your "free" Charity race place. Parking: Event Parking will be near the finish in Delapre Country Park, for directions click here. The walking route to the start will be signed and is about 0.4 of a mile, a small bag drop facility will be available at the start area to allow a discard of pre-race clothing only. In addition, there is free parking in the town centre but this will not be signed or marshalled. Toilets: Available at the start in the pub and additional porta loos in the rear of the pub's grounds and in Delepre Abbey after the race. Changing facilities are limited. Course: A mix of City Centre Running and quiet Country lanes showcasing Northampton at its best click here for the proposed 2015 route. The course will be measured by the Association of UK Course Measurers and comply with all UKA standards - Certificate No. TBC. Drinks & Refreshments: There will multiple aid stations around the course and in the finish area providing water, energy gels and jelly babies. The Teach Africa tea tent will also be selling tea, coffee and various cakes and snacks in the finish area, the very reasonable charge is ALL donated to charity. Race Goodies: Commemorative race T shirt is provided FREE to all finishers plus digital race photograph to all finishers. Massage: Sports massage will be available for a small fee after the race.
