Crazy Ideas Online Learning Platform...
The Crazy Ideas College (CIC) online learning platform –
designed for and by teachers- helps students develop and
promote ideas so that they can have an impact in their
communities.
The online platform hosts a series of resources and
learning activities that support students through a four
step process:
1. Identifying local issues
2. Idea generation
3. Testing and refining ideas
4. Pitching and promoting
The CIC platforms ensures teachers have all of the
resources on hand to successfully guide the students
through activities. The program is largely delivered in
classroom, so that teachers can adapt the program to suit
learning objectives, schedules and timelines.
Teachers and students can learn at their own pace though
a recommended time commitment is about one hour a
week for 6-8 weeks.
Local events to support the classroom learning experience
Full day Crazy Ideas short course:
Held early in term three, this short course will support students to gain some initial experience
navigating each of the four steps. Over the course of the day they will form a strong connection to their
idea so that momentum is sustained as they commence the CIC classroom platform.
Crazy Ideas Biennale:
Southern Grampians Shire will host an Ideas Biennale in week nine of term three so that students
can present and promote their ideas to community members and leaders. Southern Grampians
Shire has also secured funding and resources to support the progression of promising ideas.
