This year inaugurates the new, annual Vera Haile Dalenberg Award in memory of Vera Haile — a San Francisco icon of determined advocacy for the underprivileged and Curry Executive Director from 1983–1996. In honor of Vera Haile’s passing on July 9, 2014, the gala this year will celebrate and honor those women in our community who fight for what makes our city famous for benevolence and goodwill towards all those who need a supportive hand. Joseph Mignola, Jr. Award Aisha Ahmad for her leadership as the Founding President of the Curry PALS (Professionals, Advocates and Leadership Society) and her leadership with the Association of Auxiliaries for Children that raises funds for Stanford Children’s Health.
