CALL FOR PAPERS ***DATE EXTENDED*** 2015 Child & Youth Care Provincial Conference October 8 & 9, 2015 Cultivating Success: The Role of Mentorship in Child & Youth Care In keeping with our commitment to enhancing the professional development of child and youth care practice, CYCWAM is looking for child and youth care practitioners (CYCP) who will facilitate workshops on October 8 & 9, 2015 on the subject of the role of mentorship in the field of child and youth care. Submissions must engage the topic of mentorship in the field of child and youth care. For example, a paper may consider how youth in care challenge stereotypes and act as positive peer mentors. A paper might also consider how the CYCP functions as a mentor to the youth they serve or how professional CYCP mentorship impacts career growth and development. What does mentorship look like in Manitoba’s CYC field? What exciting and innovative programs are addressing the concept of mentorship in our communities? Abstract Submission: Proposals for workshops should be submitted in abstract format via email by May 15, 2015 to [email protected] (Subject: Workshop Submission). Submissions should include the following: title, names of presenters, contact info (email, phone and affiliations/agencies), Workshop Title and a summary/brief outline of workshop. Abstracts should be no more than 100 words and should include your preference for a time slot of either 1.25 hours or 2.5 hours. Please include the maximum number of participants your workshop can accommodate and any audiovisual or presentation aids you may need. All submissions will be given serious consideration by the conference planning committee.
