Volunteers
My name is Angel Hamilton and I am a grade 12 student at
Digby Regional High. My interests are of wide range and I
enjoy trying new things. I love doing anything that helps
others and can possibly make a difference in the community
or another person’s life. This year I joined and am now the
student representative of my school’s Volunteer Club. I
absolutely enjoy being part of such an amazing club and
being out in the community. I have had many great
opportunities such as volunteering at Tideview Terrace and a
Skills to Action workshop in Clare. After graduation, I plan on attending the NSCC in
Yarmouth for the Social Services program. I hope to then move on to university to get
my Masters in Social Work and become a Child Protection Service worker. I look forward to working more with DALA and the CRC! Thanks for reading about me.
My name is Madelaine Veinot, I am a grade 11 student at Digby Regional High school in
a CO-OP 11 course. From April 20th until the end of June, I will be doing a placement
here at NSCC. I look forward to being here, and helping out. About me, I am a highly
artistic person, so my hobbies consist of a lot of creative projects; drawing, painting,
animating, sewing, and I’m writing my own novel. Aside from
that, I spend a lot of time watching anime, which is a Japanese
style animation. Once I graduate from high school, I hope to go
to the DaVinci College in Halifax, and take the Digital Animation for Film, Video Games, and Effects course so that I can become an animator. It’s my dream to someday work at one of the
major animation studios such as Disney or DreamWorks.
