Sanitation, Reproductive Health, prevention and treatment of STI and HIV
activities

Dawei Region: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

Kayin Region (Kayin State): MCH, Public awareness for emergency intervention
and care for the patients

Salary + Benefits
: Level 4, A Basic from 180,550 MMK + Medical refunds 120 USD per year with
other social benefit and training packages.
Job purpose
The AMW (Auxiliary Mid Wives) Monitor implements and enhances AMW activities in the villages. S/he is the
main link between PU-AMI and the community network. S/he is under the direct supervision of the RHTO and
the responsibility of Project Officer and Head of Base.
Job activities
1. Project activities implementation management
 Advocate the role of PU-AMI in Dala region and the importance of AMW in the villages
 Advocate both reproductive health care and child care in the villages where AMI is working
 Organize monthly meeting at the RHC or Hospital for the AMW
 Monitor all AMW in her dedicated area
 Attend regularly AMW consultations and control the quality of cares and health information provided
 Attend HE sessions in the villages and control the quality of HE messages made by AMW
 Provide support and advice for consultations, cares, and HE to the AMW.
 Identify constraints and difficulties met by AMW in their work
 Propose solutions or change in the action to the RHTO or MCH adviser or Medical Coordination
Team.
2. Report/ meeting and planning
 Focus on collecting and checking the AMW reports.
 Actively participate in data collection, monitoring and on job training to the AMW.
 Write a monthly report about the monitoring, underlines difficulties encountered and propose some
changes /adaptations / solutions to the AMW referent






Report their activity to the RHTO.
Participate to the related meeting and program meeting
Perform other duties as required assigned by PO and PM
Flexibility on request by RHTO and according to program needs are strongly demanded
Keep good relationship with other PU-AMI staffs and implementing partners.

Requirements




Qualification of Diploma in Midwife, Nurse/ B.N.Sc / HA
Good communication skill with strong team spirit
Ability to travel implementation area
Experience of working with NGO/INGO and at least 2 years experience in primary health care and
monitoring, training with village health volunteers.
 Ability to solve the problems if happened in AMW
 Basic computer knowledge: Microsoft word and Excel
 Language skill: Fluent Myanmar and Basic English
