T
his year’s June show,
“Stuck on the ‘80s,” just
can’t be missed! Mark your
calendars and invite everyone
you know to join us as we present our 24th dance production
in honor of our 24th season of
dance. What better way to celebrate than with another highly anticipated, professionally
executed dance performance!
After months of creative
planning and inspiration by
Miss Lucy and artistic director,
Nick Willrich, this year’s dance
production will surely not disappoint. The theme, combined
with clever choreography, coupled with specially designed
lighting effects, special effects
and nostalgic ‘80s music is
sure to “wow” our audience.
The costumes are amazing
and when you add that into
the mix, along with the professional stage set and props, we
are looking at another DG2 hit!
Monday nights at the DG2 are fun and exciting during the new partnering class, under the direction of Steven Hayes. Front Row, L-R:
Eric with Julia, Dillon with Amber, Brandon with Kaitlyn, D’Iallo with
Erica, Roman with Jamie. Back Row, L-R: Mustafa, Graham, Ben, Steven, Zach, Karl.
Doug is working on the set and props and will be constructing
and building from now till show time! If there are any DG2 dads
that have a hammer and paint brush handy, please let us know!
It’s a real “family” effort to get the show ready to go onstage,
and we love having our DG2 parents feel like part of behind the
scenes!

Choreographed by Nick Willrich, Summer Cedarleaf, Julia Rodden, Ashley Rudolph, Alicia Fuller,
Steven Hayes, Brandon Greathouse and Miss Lucy, dance scenes will spring to life on a creative
set designed by Miss Lucy, Steven Hayes and Joanne Busch. As always, the dancers will dazzle in
colorful, spectacular costumes from New York.
The original script, written by Miss Lucy, will inspire our audience. Special effects and lighting
will be done by Tech Director Doug McLemore, with help from Monkey Glue and Sacramento
Theatrical Lighting. Miss Lucy will create all the special effect lighting and the stage lighting along
with lighting professional Marc Cambridge.
As always, proceeds will benefit the Sutter Memorial Child Life Program, which offers assistance
to families whose children are seriously or terminally ill. The DG2 delights in continuing its 23-year
tradition of supporting this worthwhile organization.
Just like the professionals, it’s going to take lots of dedication from our dancers to coordinate
the haze, fog, robotic lights, costumes, props and set changes in with the choreography! But the
results are going to be spectacular! Get ready! The show is going to be the best yet!!!
REMINDER! Our dress rehearsals will be on Wednesday & Thursday, June 24th & 25th, and show
nights will be Friday & Saturday, June 26th and 27th at the Mesa Verde Performing Arts Center.

Erica Quintero
Chyann Hill
Kacy Golik
The Dance Gallery 2 holds great memories for many of our dancers, from Disney performance opportunities to the friendships and family atmosphere and everything in-between.
For Teacher Erica, her favorite DG2 moment was dancing in Disney World with the Broadway
Newsies and getting her 3-year DG2 trophy. This year marks Erica’s 11th year dancing at the DG2!
Student Teacher Chyann has been dancing at the DG2 for four years. Her favorite DG2 memory is
her first DG2 performance onstage when she was just 10 years old.
Student Teacher Kacy has been a DG2 dancer for 13 years! Her favorite memory is from the summer of 2014 when she visited Disneyland for the first time and got to dance in the parade down
Main Street, U.S.A.
Here’s to making memories--what’s your favorite memory of the Dance Gallery 2!?! Let us know!
