We were lucky, we met a friend, a young British citizen of Pakistani origin, who is willing to explain to us the truth of the taxi driver’s statement. Christa Hohenadl and Ellinor Stiegler On Azam Akram: Azam Akram lives and works in London. His parents migrated to the UK from Pakistan in the late 1960s. Azam Akram was born in Chesterfield, in the county of Derbyshire. He spent most of his childhood in Pakistan, but returned to the UK at the age of 16. He studied Economics at Reading University. He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Amsterdam University. He now works as an International Expatriate Tax Specialist at Ernst & Young LLP UK.
