Built in 1981. GRP construction with white topsides and superstructure, long fin keel with

Sails & Rig
Fully battened Sanders mainsail with 3 reefs. Jeckells Stackpak mainsail cover with
Lazyjacks. Genoa roller reefing system with furling No 1 Genoa, Racing No 1 Genoa, No 2
Genoa, No 3 Jib. Storm Jib and Storm Tri-sail. Spinnaker and Heavy Weather Spinnaker. New
SELDEN alloy mast in 1996. New stainless steel standing rigging also in 1996. New SELDEN
Boom and Gooseneck fitted in July 2006 and all running rigging replaced with new.
Engine
YANMAR 3GM20 3 Cylinder 21HP inboard diesel (brand new engine fitted August 2008 – has
done less than 20 hours @ May 2013). Alternator charging to 2 x 12 volt heavy-duty
batteries. Approx 20 gallon stainless steel fuel tank with a consumption per hour of around
½ gallon at a cruising speed of about 5 knots. Shaft drive to fixed 2 blade propeller. Stern
gland and remote greaser. New drive shaft, stern gland, cutless bearing and rudder shaft
bearings replaced in 2006.

Domestic Equipment
Seahorse has an EBERSPATCHER Hot Air Heating System (new 2005). Shore power is
provided with a 240 volt supply and ring main. An ALL-IN-ONE 15A Battery Charging System
is integral and was installed in 2006. The JVC CD Player/Tuner was installed in 2003 (but the
radio antenna still awaits connection!). The teak cabin sole was lifted and replaced new in
2005/06 in order to install a new stainless steel water tank The Galley has a PLASTIMO
NEPTUNE 2000 gimballed gas cooker (new 2004) with two burners, grill, oven and fiddle
pan clamps and a cook’s safety strap is fitted. Galley is fully equipped with cooking utensils,
cutlery and crockery. The ISOTHERM refrigerator was installed in 2003 and continues to
function well. Water supply to the sink is delivered by foot pump. The separate heads
compartment has a BLAKES LAVAC Marine Toilet and a wash hand basin.
Accommodation
There are 6 berths in 2 cabins including 2 “V” berths in the separate forward cabin. The
saloon has a double berth where the table lowers with single berth opposite and quarter
berth aft.
Features
Topsides were professionally re-sprayed in 1999. She was also epoxy coated below the
waterline in 1999 and remains in good condition. Mainsail, Foresail and Sprayhood were
serviced and re-conditioned in 2012. A new, larger, 3 cylinder 21 HP engine fitted in 2008 has
barely been used.
Remarks
‘Seahorse’ carries a comprehensive inventory and has been considerably improved in recent
years with professional re-spray and osmosis treatment, new teak cockpit seating and sole
grating, new mast and standing rigging in 1996, new boom and running rigging in 2006. The
original fibreglass water tank has been replaced with a new stainless steel tank and a new
teak cabin floor has been fitted. A new forward hatch has been fitted. A new YANMAR 3
cylinder 21 HP engine has been installed replacing the previous 2 cylinder 18 HP engine.
Drive shaft and bearings are in good condition. ‘Seahorse’ has been well maintained but
little used recently due to ill health of the owner, the reason for sale. She is set up for long
distance single handed sailing, represents an excellent example of her class and is ready to
go.
