KUHN S.A. – 4, Impasse des fabriques – BP 50060 – 67706 SAVERNE Cedex : +33 (0)3 88 01 81 00 - Fax : +33 (0)3 88 01 81 01 – www.kuhn.com PRESS RELEASE SIMA 2015 Evolution of the offset arm verge shredder range The needs in landscape maintenance are changing and KUHN is following this trend with the renewal of its range of verge shredders. All these machines distinguish themselves by their versatility of use: behind the tractor or offset, in horizontal position on roadside or paths, in vertical position (+90°) for hedge maintenance or in slope or ditch position (-65°). The TBE (192, 222 and 242) and TBES (222, 242 and 262) are aimed for intensive use by contractors or machinery rings. They feature additional technical specifications which provide improved shredding quality: - hammer knives heavier than those of the first generation and fitted on 20 mm pins instead of 16 mm. - A second counter knife fitted inside the casing. For an unfailing reliability: - The roller diameter has been increased: 180 mm instead of 160 mm. - The rotor tube is thicker (10 mm instead of 8 mm) on the 242 and 262 versions. - The skids are now made of Hardox steel. Furthermore, the TB 100 shredder has become the TB 100 select: this model retains all the previous technical specificities which have proven their efficiency but it also allows choosing a machine with small or large offset. In the first case, KUHN offers a standard drive whereas in the second case, the machine is fitted with a wide angle drive. January 2015
