JURY DOCKET GUIDELINES

ALL PARTIES WITH CASES SET ON JURY DOCKET

ANNOUNCEMENT PROCEDURES
1. Each attorney and pro se party must submit a written announcement of “Ready” or
“Not Ready” to the Court Administrator at [email protected] not less than
five (5) or more than fifteen (15) days prior to trial.
2. All Pretrial matters must be heard no later than the Friday prior to trial. No pre-trial
or other motions will be heard the day of trial.
3. No later than the pre-trial conference, each attorney or pro se party must submit their
proposed charge. The proposed charge must be submitted to the Court Administrator at
[email protected] (and served upon all other parties) in exactly the same form
as it would be presented to the jury (without citations or signature blocks for the Judge to
grant, deny or modify any requested definition, instruction or question, proposed charge
should follow the current edition of the TEXAS RULES OF CIVIL PROCEDURE and
the applicable TEXAS PATTERN JURY CHARGES.
4. No later than the pre-trial conference, each attorney or pro se party must submit their
Witness List and Exhibit List. These completed lists must be submitted to the Court
Reporter at [email protected] (and served upon all other parties).
5. If settlement is reached, each attorney or pro se party shall promptly notify the Court
Administrator at [email protected]. Upon announcing settlement, a final
Judgment, Decree or Nonsuit must be entered within thirty (30) days from the trial
date.
6. You may contact the Court Administrator on the Friday prior to trial to determine your
position on the docket.
