Thank you for inquiring about team placements at Desert Storm Elite Cheer. Below is a
checklist to help assure you have everything required to successful complete team
placements. Instructions and forms for each item below are included in this packet.
Please don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions.
Prior to Team Placements
¨Attend New Athlete & Parent Informational Meetings on April 15 or 18 (if applicable)
¨Attend Open House (s) on April 15 or 18
¨Enroll in team placement class online
Team Placement Checklist:
¨Attend all days of team placements – May 5, 6 for all and May 7 level 5 only
Bring with you to team placements:
¨Completed Team Placement Evaluation Form - included in packet
¨Attach a 2x3 photo to Evaluation Form
¨Copy of Birth Certificate (if new to Storm)
¨Wear All Black Sports Bra or Tank and Spankies or Shorts (no gym logos permitted)
¨Hair in high and tight pony-tail with bow
Attend Team Acceptance & Loyalty Day & First Uniform Fitting on May 9
¨Bring the signed Team Commitment & Loyalty Form (handed out at Team
Placements)
¨Bring check, cash or credit card payment for amount shown on Team Acceptance Day
& First Fitting Information - included in packet
¨Athletes must wear Sports Bra and Spankies as fittings will take place in the gym
¨Socks for Shoe fitting
Desert Storm Elite 2015 Team Placement Packet 1 New Athlete & Parent Informational Meetings
These meetings are designed for anyone new to DSE or those returning with additional
questions about our policies and procedures. Meetings will be run by owner Eric
Contreras and will start promptly at times listed below.

Desert Storm Elite 2015 Team Placement Packet 2 Open Houses
Everyone is encouraged to attend one of our open houses. There will be
representatives from our booster club in attendance as well as our coaching staff and
select team parent ambassadors. This is the time to ask any questions regarding our
outstanding All Star Program and meet current athletes and parents.

Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 2:30pm – 4:00pm
Enrolling in Team Placement online
Desert Storm uses an online portal to manage all class registration as well as to sign all
legal liability and financial commitments and billing information. To enroll in team
placements, follow the simple steps below.
1. All new and returning customers - Go to DesertStormElite.com
2. Click on the link on right hand side for the Team Placement age group of your child
(Age should be athletes age on 8/31/15).
3. This link will take you into the portal.
4. Returning customers – be sure you have your password to login to your account.
Choose the blue link at the top (already a customer) and follow directions. Once you
login, the class will automatically pop up to enroll in.
5. New Customers without an online account – simply fill out the information requested
and after accepting policies, the class will automatically pop up to enroll in.
6. You will receive an email confirmation of your enrollment.
7. Credit cards will be charged nightly
Attend Team Placements
See Detailed times and dates on flyer at beginning of the packet.
Team Placements are closed for public viewing. Parents must check-in their
cheerleaders on Tuesday in order to receive the Parent Handbook and Team
Commitment & Loyalty Form. Plan to arrive early and you may need to park off site
as parking lots might be busy.
Team Placement Notification
The parent or legal guardian listed on the Team Placement Evaluation form will be
notified via phone call on Friday, May 8 between 9am – 6pm by the team coach with
their new team placement. Practice times and days will be given at that time.
Desert Storm Elite 2015 Team Placement Packet 3 Team Acceptance Day & First Fitting – May 9
This is a celebration day and mandatory for all athletes to attend. Athletes will turn in
their Team Commitment & Loyalty Forms and first deposit/payment.
Cheerleaders (both new and returning) will be fitted for new practice clothes and
competition uniforms if new to Desert Storm. See schedule below. If athlete cannot
make scheduled time, they may come at any time during the day.
The Team Commitment & Loyalty Form simply highlights the policies and procedures
listed on our online policies as well as the parent handbook. Both items will be handed
to parents or adult athletes upon check-in on the first day of team placements.
Deposits below include $62 Annual Registration Fee, First Month’s Tuition (May) and
Practice Outfits including tops and shorts. Payments can be made with cash, check or
credit card (no American Express). Male athlete deposit schedule is not available at this
time but will be given at Team Placement check-in.
Vendors will be available to sell food and beverage. Please consider off site parking, as
parking lots may be full.

Tiny & Mini Teams: $506 (2 Practice Outfits)
Youth 1-2 Teams: $563 (3 Practice Outfits)
Youth 3-5, Junior 1-5, Senior 1-5 Restricted: $578 (3 Practice Outfits)
New to Storm-World Teams: $625 (3 Practice Outfits)
Returning World Teams: $TBA (1 practice outfit)

Practices
Practices begin the week of May 11 and team practice times & days will be given during
the team placement notification phone call.
Choreography
Save the dates for mandatory choreography. Specific times and days for each team will
be announced on the first day of practice.
World teams: May 15-21
All other teams: July 27 – August 20 (week days only)
Costs
A cost sheet for the 2015-16 year will be available at open houses.

Desert Storm Elite Cheer Referral Form
Desert Storm Elite’s All Star and ½ Year Team Referral Program
It is a great honor to know that you believe in our program enough to recommend it to someone else. As our way of
thanking you for your referral to our Scottsdale gym, Desert Storm Elite is offering a $300.00 tuition discount for
each *qualifying referral, and the best part about our Referral Program is that there is no limit to the number of
referrals you can make!
Here’s how it works. For each qualifying All Star referral, you will receive a single discount of $300 off your tuition
starting from the end of the season and working backwards. So the more referrals you bring, the more opportunities
you have to save money. (The following teams have different referral amounts: $70.00 for Lightning, $95 for “Prep
Teams”, $100 for Minis and Tiny’s).
Example: 1 referral = April 2016 (no tuition charge), March 2016 tuition =$100.
2 referrals = April 2016 (no tuition charge), March 2016 (no tuition charge), February 2016 (no tuition
charge).
3 referrals =April 2016 (no tuition charge), March 2016 (no tuition charge), February 2016 (no tuition
charge), January 2016 (no tuition charge) December 2015 =$100
The following guidelines define *qualifying referrals:
qualifying month = month credit is awarded
• The New Member cannot be a current or previous member of Desert Storm Elite (this includes class and
competitive team members).
• Both the Referring Member and New Member must be an active competitive team member during the qualifying
month.
• Both the Referring Member and New Member must be current with all Desert Storm Elite financial obligations
during the qualifying month.
• Both the Referring Member and New Member must sign the Desert Storm Elite Competitive Team Referral
Program form.
• The Referring Member must submit the below completed form and the New Member must join prior to November
1, 2015.
• The New Member can participate in only one referral program agreement however the New Member can refer
other New Members.
• The New Member cannot be a sibling of an existing member.
