MISCELLANEOUS FOR EVERYONE:
ACADEMICS:
JUNIORS: It is best to take your SAT or ACT this spring, so you have scores on file and ready to go for the college
admission process which starts in September. The SAT is offered at BHS on Saturday, May 2nd. If you wish to take your
SAT here at BHS you MUST REGISTER ONLINE by Wednesday, April 1 at www.sat.collegeboard.org/register. (Yes, it is the
same day as Prom, but the test will be over by about 12:30. Schedule your hair appointments late so you can get a nap!
) There is also a test on Saturday, June 6th offered at Reitz or Central High Schools. There is a June 13th ACT at Central,
USI, Reitz, and Memorial. All dates and information can be found under the guidance tab on the BHS website. (Stacey

Students interested in the American Legion scholarship listed in your senior scholarship newsletter are reminded to
watch the deadline dates. You need to have some items completed soon. Check in the guidance office for more
details. (Mr. Yando 3/18 - 20)
ATHLETICS:
All wrestlers, freestyle practice next week will be Tuesday and Wednesday, from 4:00 to 6:00, as per your
schedule, also our wrestling tournament is next weekend, we will set up at the Middle School at 5:00 P.M. Friday.
All wrestlers will be needed to set up, Any questions please contact Dusty. (Coach Marchand 3/20)
All basketball players (Freshmen - Seniors) need to pick up a banquet form from Coach Altstadt sometime before spring
break. (Coach Altstadt 3/19 – 20)
Attention all football players – speed, agility, & weights will resume on March 30. The weight room will be open this
week and will be closed over spring break. If you have any questions see Coach Williams. (Coach Williams 3/18 - 20)
The boys track team has an on line store that is now open. If you would like to order BHS Track fan wear from the store
please feel free to purchase the items you would like. From Hoodies to visors …….Orders should be in around April

COMMUNITY EVENTS:
Seniors: Senior Memory Scrapbook Day, Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM at First Christian Church of
Newburgh. Cost is $5.00 per person. Flyers are available in the office with more details. (Ms. Wynn 3/18 – 20)
EXTRA/CO-CURRICULAR & CLUBS:
If you are interested in becoming a certified lifeguard, stop by Coach Hammel's room 314 or the office to pick up a flyer
for more information. The deadline to sign up is Friday, March 20th. (Coach Hammel 3/18 – 20)
Here at BHS, we have 3 Gold-Rated choirs: Concert Choir, Select Choir, and Chamber Choir, recently renamed "The Noteables." This last group specializes in a cappella versions of pop-rock radio hits, just like the group Pentatonix and the
movie Pitch Perfect. We want YOU to join this nation-wide phenomenon as we bring music to life! Sign-up TODAY on
Mrs. Sullivan-Whitten's door as you go to lunch to pick a time during IRP to meet with her. This is not an audition but,
rather, an opportunity for Mrs. Whitten to meet you face to face. (Mrs. Sullivan-Whitten 3/18 - 20)

STUDENTS & STAFF: During Spring Break, there will be a company at the school working in the hallways the entire
week. Everyone is cautioned to stay out of the building during this time, as it will be considered a construction area. If
