Stone Tool Technology Presented by Dan Minard An informative presentation on the development and techniques necessary to change a piece of stone into a tool used by the First People to provide food, shelter and clothing. Learn how to identify flint, where you can find flint in Ohio, how to make an arrowhead, and much more. Bob Zahirsky is a retired engineer who worked mostly in the power industry with the Babcock and Wilcox company where he held several positions. He holds a Bachelors and a Masters degrees from Kent State University. Bob has continued his interest in native peoples following his retirement through classes at Ohio State University studying Anthropology. Bob will discuss several aspects of Ohio Indian culture, thoughts on religion and the different time periods of life in Ohio from Paleo times to the 1700s and will also present a detailed discussion of the Indian Love flute including the construction and playing of the instrument.
