Join a guided walk around Huddersfield Town
centre and experience the sights, culture and
history of this great town. Led by experts in the
field, enjoy exploring the town and its marvellous
heritage, on a Sunday afternoon or a Thursday
evening.
Sunday 12 April, 2pm: Public Art: Sculptures, statues
and surprises.
Sunday 3 May, 2pm: European Exile Communities
Trail: the hidden history of places used by people
from Central and Eastern Europe since 1939.
Sunday 7 June, 2pm: Historic Buildings Trail: discover
the background to the gems of Huddersfield's
architectural heritage.
Sunday 5 July, 2pm: European Exile Communities
Trail
Thursday 9 July, 7pm: World War 1 Trail: scenes and
personal experiences illustrating the compassion and
commitment of a community at war.
Thursday 16 July, 7pm: Historic Buildings Trail: a
different trail of architectural discovery.
Thursday 30 July, 6pm: Walking with Women’s
Suffrage: walk in the footsteps of Huddersfield’s
suffragettes ~ as they took the town by storm.
Sunday 2 August, 2pm: Radical Heritage: buildings
and places associated with dramatic events in an age
of discontent.
Thursday 13 August, 7pm: Town Centre Heritage
Trail: the shaping of the town, from the Normans to
the 19th century.
Thursday 20 August, 7pm: World War 1 Trail
Sunday 6 September, 2pm: Historic Buildings Trail
Sunday 13 September, 2pm: The Ramsden Trail:
tracing the impact of the family that shaped
Huddersfield (FREE for Heritage Open Days)

A Halloween taste of 'orrible happenings and spooky
sightings to keep you in good spirits.
Walks last for approx 1.5 - 2hrs,
with a charge of £3.
No booking is required.
