From the Desk of Father Pauselli
Today the church throughout the world prays for vocations. Will you make a special effort to ask the Lord for more vocations
to priesthood and religious life?
*Pray for the priest who have ministered to you throughout your life both living and dead.
*Keep our parish priests in you prayers throughout the week
*Encourage your children, grandchildren, or other young people to consider a vocation as a priest or religious brother or sister.
*Pray a rosary for more young men and women in our diocese to respond to God‟s call
Join The Invisible Monastery
Pledge to pray for vocations at the Invisible Monastery website, invisblemonastery.com. It was inspired by a Vatican document urging Catholics to “Organize an „invisible monastery‟ in which many persons, day and night, are committed to continuous prayer for priestly vocations.”
Congratulations to Jordan Armbrust who will be baptized this weekend at Divine Mercy. He is the son of Jason Armbrust and
Christina Rutkowky. He was born on Dec 29, 2014. May the Lord bless Jordan and his family on this most special occasion!
Congratulations to Jordan Guse and Emily Fisch who will celebrate the sacrament of marriage at Divine Mercy Parish on Saturday, May 2. May the Lord bless them with many years together as husband and wife
Thank you for your participation in the Catholic Home Missions Appeal. This Appeal supports Dioceses in the United State
and its territories that lack the resources to provide basic pastoral ministry to their populations.
Have a wonderful week!

Picnic Meeting Recap:
I am happy to announce that we had our first Picnic Meeting in preparation for the 2015 Picnic on June 4th, 5th and 6th.
First of all, I would like to thank Kathleen and Mike Boyd for volunteering to be the Chairs for this year‟s Picnic. I know
they will do an amazing job ! A very important date on which I hope we will have a great turn out for this year is May
30th. On that day at 8:30 AM the picnic truck with all of our supplies and stands will be delivered and unloaded !
The more helpers we have the better! You can not underestimate what an hour of your time would contribute to our efforts to begin setting up for the Picnic. On April 22nd at 1:00 P.M. we are going to stuff mailings to be sent to all of our
parishioners with information on the Picnic as well Raffle Ticket request forms. If anyone would like to volunteer for
this project, we will order a lunch for you and have it ready following the 12:10 Mass. Please let me know if you think
you can make it.
We have made a change to our Picnic Raffle this year as illustrated in the form below. The cost of a ticket is now only
$50.00 and we will be selling an unlimited amount ! This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, so please encourage your friends and family to participate.

Mother’s Day
Sunday, May 10, is Mother‟s Day. Nine Masses will be offered for the mothers remembered on the altar. You should have received an envelope in the mail for this purpose.
There are also envelopes and greeting cards available on the table in the center vestibule
of the Church. This is a fine way to honor your mother as we celebrate Mother‟s Day
2015.

that can be given. If you know of someone we should be serving, please contact Vince
Klingler at 570-205-5716 or [email protected] for arrangements.
April 30:
How do I know if I should consider Parish Council?
Can you make decisions that are guided by a firm faith filled
hand that is open to the Holy Spirit?
Then you are a discerner.
Can you reflect on the Gospel so that God‟s ministry is part of your parish life?
Then you are prayerful.
Can you listen to your fellow parishioners and present ideas that mold the future of the
parish?
Then you are a serving representative.
Can you work well with others?
Then you are collaborative.
Can you resolve conflicts?
Can you strengthen parish relationships and celebrate the peace of Christ?
Then you are pastoral.
Everyone in our parish has gifts … Please prayerfully consider the
above questions. If your gifts match the skills above or if you
know someone with these skills, please consider offering your
name or theirs for this ministry of leadership.
Thank you!
