The Story of Doc’s
Branson, Missouri honors veterans each and every day. Doc’s Hickory Roadhouse aims to welcome
each guest with that same humble spirit of honor and respect. Doc’s is named for a serviceman who
also happens to be the owner. Jerry Franklin served with the United States Army as a medic...where he
got the nickname Doc.
Doc proudly served his country and now several years later he hopes his restaurant provides a sense of
pride for all who walk through our doors and to all retired or active members of the US Armed Forces.
May you feel the gratitude we have for your service.
Everything Doc does, he does with a commitment to excellence. To helping his fellow servicemen and
women while in the army to bringing you really good food, Doc always does so with an expectation of
quality through hard work.
Here at Doc’s Hickory Roadhouse, Doc’s lessons of hard work and quality can be tasted in every bite.
For example, our BBQ is slow smoked with real hickory wood. Our difference is in the details. Doc
believes taking the extra time, using real smoke makes all the difference allowing you to enjoy a meal
where quality and taste are the stars. Doc’s commitment to bringing you the best BBQ around doesn’t
just end with slow smoked meats. What’s BBQ about tasty sides? Our potato salad starts with raw,
unpeeled potatoes and is prepared in our kitchen from scratch.
We could go on and on about our food, but soon you’ll be tasting just what we’re talking about. From
Doc’s family to yours, we know you’re going to have a great meal...but more than that, we hope you
