Dear Parent
DPSGV believes in the holistic development of the child wherein a child is given ample opportunities
to explore and learn. The school also firmly believes that in order to take on the challenges of life, a
child has to be well prepared and equipped with necessary life skills.
With an objective to groom the leaders in our students, the school is organizing a 3 Nights 4 Days
Adventure Based Leadership Program for the students of classes 4 to 7 at Jim Corbett National
Park, Uttarakhand from 26th May to 29th May 2015.
The sessions will be conducted by facilitators from N. S. Tours and Travels Pvt. Ltd. a well-known
name in conducting school leadership programmes.
Experiential methodology will be followed during the camp, with an aim to develop:
 Elements of team work
 Fundamentals of leadership and an attitude of excellence
 Effective decision making skills
 Acceptance of importance of self-discipline
 Heightened caring and sharing
 Inter-personal relationships
 Setting targets and achieving them
DETAILED ITINERARY:
26th May: Group assembles in school at 10.30 pm and departs for Jim Corbett National Park. Students
to carry some refreshments from home.
27th May: Arrive at Jim Corbett by morning and check into hotel for breakfast and ice breaking
activities. After breakfast, we visit Jim Corbett House and Corbett Water Fall. Return to the hotel for
lunch. After lunch we visit Garjia Mandir in the middle of Kosi River and Jim Corbett museum.
Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
28th May: After an early breakfast members leave for Nainital. Trek up to Naina Devi temple & Naini
Lake. Lunch at a restaurant in Nainital. After that a leisurely stroll on the Mall for shopping. Return
back to the Jim Corbett National Park dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
29th May: After breakfast we do adventure activities like River Crossing, Free Fall/ Parallel rope.
Lunch. After lunch depart for school. Arrive in school at 9:00 pm.
The total cost of the programme is Rs 4700/- Kindly send the due amount either by cheque in favour
of school’s name or cash and the written consent to the class teacher by 22nd May 2015.

Adventure Based Leadership programme with my consent. It is also certified that he / she is fit to
take part in any strenuous exercise. I also guarantee that he / she will obey the rules and regulations of
the said programme. In his / her failure to do so, appropriate action may be taken. I also understand that
school will take all care and precautions. However, I indemnify the school and the organizers for any
injury/mishap that may happen to my ward during the programme.
