TENNESSEE STATE PROPERTY
TAX RELIEF PROGRAM
The State Tax Relief Program pays a portion
of the property tax for Seniors OR Disabled
persons who meet certain eligibility
requirements.
The Tax Relief pays up to $312.00 (State
$156.00 and Dyer County matches up to
$156.00) for eligible property owners who
live in Dyer County.
Tax Relief is also available for100%
Disabled Veterans as declared by the VA.

Application Deadline County Taxes
for 2014 is:
April 6, 2015
Must be 65 or older on or before
December 31, 2014
Must own and use the property as your
primary residence
Combined 2013 income from all sources
for all owners of the property must not
exceed $28,270.
If married, the spouse’s income is
included whether or not they have an
ownership in the property
Income sources include:
o Social Security minus Medicare
o Retirement/Pension
o Veterans’ Administration
benefits
o Workers’ Compensation
o Salaries or Wages
o Interest or Dividends
