About the Conference
This conference is a must see for all nurses in professional development roles. The nationally
recognized presenter will offer fresh insights into the new scope and standards for this field of nursing
practice. She will address current issues and trends, outcome identification, and use of a variety of
methods, including flipped classrooms, learning analytics, and BYOD learning (Bring Your Own Device).
The program will not just help you to think outside the box, it will teach you to create new boxes.
Virtual learning strategies will feature a look at immersive learning environments, gaming, MOOCS, and
more. This full day conference will enable nursing professional development specialists to examine
future trends and learning strategies that when actualized will promote the professional development
specialist as an influential and empowered leader in their practice environment.

departments as well as unit based educators. Preceptors will also find the information useful.

Faculty
Dora Bradley, PhD, RN-BC, FAAN is a nationally recognized leader in nurse educator preparation. She
received her BS from Oklahoma Baptist University, her MS from the University of Oklahoma, and her PhD
from the University of South Carolina. She is currently the Chief Clinical and Patient Learning Officer at Baylor
Scott & White Health in Dallas, Texas. She serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal for Nurses in
Professional Development. She serves on the ANCC Nursing Professional Development Content Expert Panel
and was inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing in 2014. She has numerous publications
and is a well-known national presenter.

Eastern AHEC Department of Nursing and Allied Health Education is an Approved Provider of
continuing nursing education by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the
American Nurses Credentialing Centers Commission on Accreditation.
Other interested Professionals - Contact Hours. Certificates for 6.0 hours of educational contact will
be awarded.
Attendance at the entire program is required for credit. Participation is verified by check in at the
start of the program and initial out at the conclusion of the program. Certificates of completion will
be available after the participant completes the evaluation.

Pre-registration is required to assure space in this program. The fees for registrations are as follows:

After 9/17/2015 $105.00
Registration fee includes supplies, breaks, lunch, and credit. No refunds can be given after September
