TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE SAFARICOM EASTER TIMEOUT CAMPAIGN The following terms and conditions apply to the Safaricom Easter Timeout Campaign (“the Campaign”) and by participating in the Campaign you will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted the same:1. Eligibility The Promotion is open to all Safaricom PrePay and PostPay individual subscribers. 2. The Campaign This Campaign encourages seeks to engage the online community in using Safaricom products to contact and connect with their friends and family during the Easter period. 3. Promotional Period The Promotion will run for thirty (30) days from 23rd March 2015 to 28th April 2015 (“Campaign Period”). 4. How to Participate (a) From your mobile phone, laptop, PC, Tablet or any data enabled device log onto the Safaricom Easter Timeout Campaign site at http://eastertimeout.safaricom.co.ke (b) A participant will be required to read the terms and conditions and check the box before proceeding into the Campaign site. (c) A participant will be required to answer one question which will allow recommendation of their ideal personality type. (d) Upon selection of the personality type a participant will be required to fill in registration form. In the registration form you will be required to submit your name, national ID number or passport number and your MSISDN number. (e) There are no charges to participating in the Campaign apart from the data used in accessing and staying on the Campaign site and which will be charged according to your data bundle and if none, out of bundle tariff (see Safaricom PostPay & PrePay Data Bundle Terms & Conditions on www.safaricom.co.ke 5. Prizes (a) By participating in the Campaign you stand to win the prizes shown in the matrix below subject to the restrictions in paragraph 7(e): (b) The number of prizes to be awarded daily may be varied by Safaricom in consultation with Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB). 6. Selection and Notification of Winners (a) Winners will be determined electronically based on the number of votes a participant received in the Campaign. Any decisions made on the winner by BCLB and Safaricom shall be final and binding. (b) You can only submit one application in the Campaign. (c) You will only be able to vote once in the Campaign (d) Winners will be published on the Campaign and Safaricom website. 7. Other terms and conditions (a) Safaricom reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, including but not limited to submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions. (b) The prizes are non-transferable and no cash or other alternative shall be offered for the prizes. (c) By accepting the prize, you will be deemed to have granted Safaricom the right to use and publish your name and picture in such media as Safaricom may choose (including but not limited to the internet) for information, advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration. (d) Safaricom reserves the right (subject to any direction from BCLB) to suspend or terminate the Campaign or amend these terms and conditions at any time for any technical or commercial reason. Any amendment to these terms and conditions will be published on the Campaign website http://eastertimeout.safaricom.co.ke (e) Safaricom Dealers and their employees, employees of Safaricom Limited, Safaricom Key Accounts RedSky, ScanGroup Limited, Squad Digital, Betting Control and Licensing Board and any other supplier or third party directly involved with the facilitation of this Promotion and their immediate families and dependants shall not be eligible to participate in this Promotion. (f) If you are selected as the winner of a prize and notified accordingly but for any reason, Safaricom is prevented from awarding your prize within a period of three (3) months from the closing date of the Campaign you will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize and the same shall be handed over to the BCLB. (g) In the event that there are any taxes applicable to the Prizes, Safaricom will deduct the same and remit to the Tax collection Agency. The Winners will be presented with Tax withholding Certificates where applicable. (h) The Promotion remains subject to the provisions of the Betting Lotteries and Gaming Act (Cap 131 Laws of Kenya) and any disputes arising hereunder shall be resolved in accordance with such provisions. CAUTION: Safaricom does not require subscribers to send airtime, money or other consideration in order to award any of the promotion prizes and will not be liable for any losses or other damage incurred by subscribers who do not heed this caution
