Fees
The fee for this program is $25 per day and CHH employees are free.
This fee includes refreshments and a thumb drive pre-loaded with
presentations. Feel free to bring a laptop. Because your thumb drive will
include the course syllabus, printed copies of the syllabus will not be
provided. There will not be extra copies at the conference. A full refund
will be made if cancellation is received prior to March 27, 2015.

The Pullman Plaza Hotel is located at 1001 3rd Avenue, Huntington,
WV. The phone number is 304-525-1001. From Interstate 64, take
Exit 11 (Hal Greer Blvd/Marshall University). Follow 16th St. (Hal Greer
Blvd.) to the intersection with 3rd Avenue. Turn left onto 3rd Avenue.
Continue six blocks ahead to Pullman Plaza Hotel. Meeting rooms tend
to be cool. Please bring a sweater or jacket.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, the participant will be able to:
1. Describe common skin cancer, including risk factors, diagnosis and treatment.
2. Describe malignant melanoma and treatment options available.
3. Discuss current cancer research and how it relates to future cancer treatment.
4. Explain indications, mechanisms of action, adverse reactions and interactions of new oncology treatments.
5. Define the role of the nurse in maintaining safety during chemotherapy administration
6. Define palliative care, contrast with hospice care, and describe the role in the care of patients undergoing cancer treatment.
7. List three ways to enrich your nursing career and guide your professional growth.
