We are happy to introduce Pediatric Orthotic and
Prosthetic Services® (POPS), established by Shriners
Hospitals for Children.
What is NOT changing about your orthotic
and prosthetic services?
•• The department is located in the same •
familiar space.
•• The same experienced staff you have known •
for years.
What IS changing about your orthotic
and prosthetic services?
•• Registration for POPS is located in the orthotics
and prosthetics department, not in the clinic
where you’re used to checking in.
•• POPS will be seeking reimbursement from third
party payers (commercial insurance companies
and federal/state insurance programs).
•• You may have a co-insurance and/or deductible
amount due for the device or services you receive. •• If you have a financial hardship or other situation
that affects your ability to pay for your deductible
or co-insurance, it should not affect your access
to care at POPS.
•• Upon your request, we will provide an estimate
of the co-insurance and/or deductible from your
policy and a financial counselor will meet with you
prior to beginning work to explain your options.
•• If you do not have a financial hardship regarding
paying your co-insurance and/or deductible,
a statement will be sent following services
explaining the amount due and where to send
your payment.
