JGHS Musical Performance
Sunday, April 19, 2:30-4:00 p.m.
Come celebrate the Arts in Elwood by enjoying a concert performed by
John Glenn High School’s very own Tri-M Music Honor Society. Student
instrumentalists and vocalists will be performing solos and chamber music.

Hatha Yoga for the Experienced Practitioner

Irish Bananas and Irish Soda Bread

Watch a demonstration of a delicious Irish bananas dessert followed
by a hands-on class where everyone will make their own loaf of Irish
soda bread, ready to take home and bake.

Raising Backyard Chickens

Interested in raising chickens? Cornell Cooperative Extension would like
to share their knowledge and expertise with you! The Suffolk County
Farm and Education Center will be here with live chicks and hens, and
will cover everything a homeowner needs to get started on this enjoyable
pastime.

Create a bright, cheery gathering of herbs and flowers for this simple
yet beautiful arrangement. This is a great beginner project. A large

Hatha Yoga for Beginners

is proud to announce that it has donated
60 squares to Warm Up America. The club
meets monthly at the library to work on
personal projects or projects that benefit
a charity. This month, if members choose,
they can crochet or knit a shoulder shawl/
wrap that will be donated to Gurwin Jewish
Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Come
join us! No registration is required.

springtime “visit” to this wonderful country.

Painting with Pastels

Using a limited palette of soft pastels, this
class will introduce the fundamental elements
of a successful painting. A step-by-step
demonstration will explain the importance of a
good design or composition.

be available at a Public Information Meeting
to be held at the library on Wednesday,
April 1 at 7 p.m. This information will also
be mailed to all residents during the last
week of March. Voter registration will be
available in the library from 10 a.m. to 8
p.m. on April 8.
