ENGINEERING
AutoCAD® Civil 3D®
AutoCAD® Civil 3D® software, part of Autodesk®
Infrastructure Design Suite, is the Building Information
Modeling (BIM) solution for civil engineering design
and documentation. Civil 3D is built for civil engineers,
drafters, designers, and technicians working on
transportation , and development, and water projects.
Stay coordinated and explore design options, analyze
project performance, and deliver more consistent, higherquality documentation—all within a familiar AutoCAD®
software environment.

Autocad Civil 3D® (Sanit -Storm-Supply) course
Who should attend ?

pipe networks deign Engineers (Sanit -Storm-Supply) .
Course Objectives :
AutoCAD civil is very powerful in this field because it consists of
four applications in the field of designing pipe networks ( drainage
– supply – storm ) in additional to its highly output for pipe
networks layout & profiles also it provide all design calculations
that the designer needs in the network design process .
The target of the course is to make the user to be able to use
autocad civil 3d and its applications to design and analysis pipe
networks , output plan and profile network sheets and quantities
calculations we are going to explain this in a few points :
1-Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension
Hydraflow Storm Sewers Enables you to perform storm sewer
design and analysis on pipe network models. It is designed
primarily for hydraulic
Hydraulics and hydrologic analysis of simple and complex storm
sewer networks with pavement drainage and inlet analysis , inlet
distribution and sizePlanning or designing new systems .Get some
hydraulic information, such as hydraulic grade lines and energy
grade lines
2. Hydraflow Hydrographs Extension
AutoCAD Civil 3D Hydraflow Hydrographs Extension is an
application for urban hydro systems engineering. You can use it
for:







Analyzing the hydrologic properties of simple and complex
watersheds.
Determining runoff from historical and synthetic storms.
Planning or modeling flood control measures, such as detention
ponds.
Perform hydrographic analysis
Designing of detention ponds and outlet structures
Bridge and culverts, including roadway overtopping
Lift stations
3. Hydraflow Express Extension
Provides a collection of calculators for solving hydraulics and
hydrology tasks on culverts, channels, inlets, hydrology, and
weirs. You can model and design culverts with circular, box,
elliptical, and arch shapes; compute normal-depth rating curves
for rectangular, trapezoidal, triangular, compound gutter, circular, and user-defined channel shapes. You can also calculate
hydraulics for six inlet types, including curb, grate, combination,
drop curb, drop grate, and slotted. This extension supports SCS,
Rational, and Modified Rational methods for computing a single
hydrograph.
4. Autodesk® Storm and Sanitary Analysis
The software can model complex networks and perform different
design checks such as : hydrology, hydraulics This software can
be used for designing and analyzing:
Highway drainage systems (including curb and gutter inlets)
Stormwater sewer networks and interconnected detention ponds
Designing of detention ponds and outlet structures
Bridge and culverts, including roadway overtopping
Lift stations

Course Objectives :
our course lets you create your full detailed presentation 3D model
including the following :
 Terrain :The terrain establishes the elevation of the model. All other
data is draped on top of it.
 Ground imagery : Ground imagery is usually an aerial photograph
of the model area. It makes the model look realistic.
 Transportation : Roads, railways, bike paths, and such help you
locate other features.
