Myanmar, killing nearly 20 insurgents of the groups believed
to be responsible for the deadly
ambush in Manipur that killed

Myanmar territory to destroy
two camps of insurgents hiding
there after their attacks in Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh

BJP, PDP hoodwinking

its alliance a mere piece of paper
and eyewash to hoodwink electorate, the state Congress today
slammed the BJP-PDP coalition,
which completes 100 days in
power in Jammu and Kashmir,
charging it with creating more
problems than resolving them.
“The hundred days of the BJPPDP government have proved
that it has created more controversies, problems and issues
rather than solving any problem
or resolving any issue”, Jammu
and Kashmir Pradesh Congress
Committee (JKPCC) president
Ghulam Ahmed Mir said.
“This government created
more uncalled for and avoidable
controversies than settling the
existing ones and created more
wedge between different sections and regions than bridging
the gaps.
“The agenda of alliance is a
mere piece of paper and eyewash to hoodwink their electorate, as both the partners continue slogans and rhetorics on core
issues vitiating the atmosphere
in the state”, Mir said while addressing party workers in Doda.
The JKPCC chief said the coalition partners stood exposed
within a very short span of time
and people were feeling cheated
by the false propaganda and politics of lies and exploitation. Mir

Modi to launch India’s biggest
labour overhaul in decades
AGENCIES, JUN 09|15
New Delhi: Prime Minister
Narendra Modi is preparing to
launch India’s biggest overhaul
of labor laws since independence in a bid to create millions
of manufacturing jobs, at the
risk of stirring up a political
backlash that could block other
critical reforms.
Three officials at the federal labor ministry told agencies that
the ministry was drafting a bill
for the upcoming parliamentary
session that proposes to loosen
strict hire-and-fire rules and
make it tougher for workers to
form unions.
The changes, if approved by
parliament, will be the biggest
economic reform since India
opened its economy in 1991, but
it is likely to meet stiff opposition in parliament and from la-
bor activists.
The Indian leader enjoys a
majority in the lower house of
parliament, but not the upper,
hobbling his ability to pass politically contentious measures.
That handicap has stymied his
efforts to make it easier for businesses to buy farmland and convert Asia’s third-largest economy into a common market.

Sayeed, its displeasure over
the remarks made by the PWD
