For the past few weeks there have been a
number of requests for a pilgrimage. I’m open
to the possibility of leading one & would like
feedback as to where potential pilgrims would
like to go, & dates that would work the best.
Generally, it seems that there is interest in
visiting Italy, in particular Rome, as well as
possibly Fatima. Scheduling wise, it also seems
that Feb or March of 2012 is feasible. If you
are interested & have ideas, email Fr Chase,
[email protected].

to be part of the RCIA team. In order to help,
you need to be comfortable in sharing your
Catholic faith; be willing to attend weekly
meetings (most of the time); be willing to study
& help with presentations when needed.

Health News - Health Ministry
“I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all
may go well with you.” 3 John 1:2
Give your family the gift of your good health. Take a
look at your health habits, think about the Center for
Disease Control’s recommendations, & find areas that you can
change for the better. To avoid debilitating disease & to live
longer, don’t use tobacco, be physically active, eat a balanced
diet, maintain a healthy weight, manage your stress, take safety
precautions at home & work, take medication as needed, &
participate in health screenings. Your family will thank you.

Risen Christ Gardeners
Each Sunday morning we distribute the fresh
vegetable produce that God graces us with. We share
with our community after the Sunday morning
Masses & also with the food bank at St Vincent de
Paul. We harvest each Saturday morning to assure that it is the
freshest & most nutritious. We try to do this as families
dedicated to loving together as Christ directed. Regrettably last
Saturday we had no workers to harvest & therefore were
unable to share on Sunday morning.
We need help. If you would like to join us in harvesting and/
or in the garden, call or sign up for the Gardening group. We
do much more than just vegetable gardening. We also grow a
flower garden for church decorations & are expanding our
fruit trees. We sponsor the very successful Welcoming
vegetarian-from-our-garden Dinner for new families at Risen
Christ, scheduled this year for Saturday, Sept 24, which is open
to all parish members & intended to introduce & honor new
members of our parish. We also put on a Pumpkin Carving
Pot Luck the weekend before Halloween (Oct 20) where we
carve the garden’s pumpkins & have family fun. You and/or
your family can be involved in any or all of these activities.
Working together we all grow together.
God works in all our lives but our work is giving back to God
through our community. Please join us harvesting with Fr
Chase on Sat morning Sept 13 & find out how great our
community can be. God bless you. Weeb Martin
