AirNautic’s new AN-24M: the world’s most robust 24 hour
Swiss made pilot’s watch
Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. March 7, 2010: The AirNautic Watch Company has released the world’s
most robust 24 hour watch, which marries the functionality of a pilot’s watch with the strength
of a diver’s watch. The AN-24M was designed from the ground up to incorporate the best
features of both types of watches, making a truly unique product for demanding professional
and amateur pilots. The watch is hand made in Switzerland by Swiss watchmakers and is
offered in a limited edition of 50 pieces.
The AN-24M features an ETA 6497 manual wound movement that has been customized for 24
hour operation. This unique approach emulates Breitling’s customized adaptation of the 12
hour Venus caliber 178 movement to develop one of the most famous flight watches of all
time: the 1961 edition 24 hour Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute.
AirNautic has wrapped the movement in a 44mm steel case that has been sandblasted then
Cold Carbon hardened to approximately four times the hardness of standard, 316 stainless
steel. Only one other Swiss watch company in the world uses this process, on one of its dive
watches, to increase corrosion and scratch resistance.

a watch that will be flying as long as they will. The AN-24M is not only feature rich and tough, it
is a collector’s item to boot – and an affordable one based on pricing these features

The AN-24M’s sapphire crystal is coated on the inside and features a dial that is blue on top for
daylight hours and black on the bottom for night, with time indicated by large orange luminous
hands. The back also features a sapphire window to showcase the customized 17 jeweled Swiss
movement. The watch is a hefty 14 mm in height with bright Swiss Super Luminova markers
and hands and is water resistant to 100 meters.
The AirNautic line also includes the AN-24T Submarine, with a fully luminous dial for low light
conditions and 27 Swiss made gaseous tritium light tubes, and the AN-24 GMT, with a second
time zone function. AirNautic also produces two 12 hour models for pilots who prefer a
conventional configuration: the AN 12 Pilot and the new AN-12 Submarine, with a luminous
