YOUTH CONFERENCES
Summer 2014
In place of a mission trip this summer,
several of our high school students are
considering Notre Dame Vision or One Bread
One Cup. These week-long conferences seek to
help young people on their journey toward
discovering their gifts and talents and knowing
how to use those gifts to make a better world for
all. Information is available through the Religious
Ed Office or at Youth Group on Sunday evenings.
This bulletin is furnished to the Parish without charge.
The advertisements that appear completely defray all
publishing costs with which the church would otherwise be
burdened. Please patronize these sponsors as a thank you
for their kind generosity.

WEEKLY GIVING January 26, 2014
32 Adults $1284.00 — Loose — $88.00
Total $1372.00 — Last Week— $2582.00
Truly, a bundle of Joy!
Such a small package He was, to have such an
impact. As Mary laid Jesus in Simeon’s arms, what a
chorus of praises must have swelled their hearts!
Picture the scene: Wrapped in infant swaddling
Simeon proclaims the fulfillment of God’s promise to
him. Anna prophesying and praising God for His
great salvation. Mary and Joseph smiling broadly as
God’s miracle was publicly confirmed.
It must have been quite a celebration, this first
public appearance of the baby boy born to save the
world. He, of all children, truly deserved the title
“A bundle of joy"!

Eternal Life
“Faith is God’s precious gift…” It opens our mind to
know and love him...Faith, however needs to be
accepted; it needs our personal response, the courage to
entrust ourselves to God, to live his love and be grateful
for his infinite mercy” -POPE FRANCIS
