Since the dawn of time, mineral spring water whirled up in Larvik - crystal clear and health
enhancing. The first bath opened in 1843 next to the spring and for several generations Farris Bad in
Larvik was the biggest spa in Scandinavia. Farris Bad is back now and because of it’s history the
concept is based on having one foot in the past while being at the same time one step ahead in the

Spa-etiquette
We have a 16 years age limit at our spa.
Due to hygienic reasons it is not allowed to use long swim shorts that reach down to the knee.
Shower thoroughly and without swim wear before you enter the spa-facilities.
Always take a shower after visiting our saunas before you make use of our pools or jacuzzis.
We recommend the use of our saunas without swim gear.
At our «continental-spa evenings» it is mandatory to use the entire spa-facilities without swim gear.
No sweat on wood: always sit on a towel in the sauna with your entire body.
Use slippers while walking through the spa, but leave them outside the sauna rooms.
Our spa is a quite zone.
Electronic equipment like mobile phones and cameras are not allowed in the spa.
We want to provide our relax loungers to all guests. Therefore it is not possible to reserve them with
a towel or other personal belongings. Our spa-attendants will take away any items left behind on the
loungers during busy hours. There are hooks and storage shelves provided on a floors.
No smoking allowed in the entire spa, including out door terraces.
It is not allowed to bring your own food or beverages. We serve snacks and drinks in our spa-lounge.
The consumption of alcohol is only possible in the spa-lounge. Out of respect to other guests alcohol
can not be brought inside the spa.
Intimate behaviour between guests is unwanted in our spa.

Please note our 24 hour cancellation policy. Any cancellations or alterations less than 24 hours prior

To get the best spa-experience, we highly recommend our activities in the gym, the spa and the
saunas. All activities are included, please refer to spa-reception or spa-lounge for signing up.
Please check in 10 min. before your scheduled treatment time. Late arrival might result in a
shortened treatment time which cannot be refunded.
Kindly take a shower before entering the spa-facilities and before your treatment.
The most comfortable way to meet up for your treatment is in a bathrobe. Your therapist has onetime underwear at your disposal.
Remember to keep your body hydrated by drinking water before and after the treatment.
Continue your spa-experience at home. This will enhance and intensify the effect of your treatment.
