TWO YARN DOLL WORK SESSIONS
This picture is of some of our children making dolls for the first time! If
you are 1st grade or older, you can make a doll.
We have hundreds of yarn dolls made for our shoeboxes this coming
year, but our goal is around 1100, so we have a way to go. Thank you for the
ones that have brought in yarn for us to
use. You don’t know how much we
appreciate the yarn dropped off to us.
We are going to have two “work
sessions” on Tuesday, April 28th from
11:30-3:00 and then Wednesday,
April 29th from 5:00-6:15 during
dinnertime. We will be set up on stage
in the Fellowship Hall. Please come and
join us, learn how and then you can
make them at home and bring them
back to put in our OCC shoeboxes. They really are so easy and the sky’s the limit
of how you want your doll or octopus to look!
We are still looking for more hammers, screw drivers, nails and fishing
supplies for our older boys. Please drop off any supplies in one of our collection
boxes around church. If you could have seen the excitement of all the kids we
took jump ropes to in St. Lucia, you would see why we want LOTS of jump ropes
for our April “most wanted” list.
Thank you all for supporting OCC shoeboxes! Please come and join for
our next “work day”. You will be blessed!

TWO QUALIFY FOR
REGIONAL BIBLE DRILL
Congratulations to Eli Langford and Emma
Russell on qualifying for the Regional Bible Drill,
which was held yesterday at Washington Avenue
Baptist Church! Eli and Emma advanced from the
Church Drill to the Stone Association Drill, which
was held two weeks ago. They both moved on
from that drill to the Regional Drill.
FBC offers Bible Buddies for 1st-3rd
graders and Children’s Bible Drill for 4th-6th
graders. Both of these help children learn books
of the Bible, verses and key passages. They will
begin meeting again in August. Keep an eye on
the Chronicles for meeting times.
