INTRODUCTION
Thank you for expressing an interest in our wholesale program at Dallas Soy Candles.
Our soy candles are handmade and hand poured in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
T h e y a r e fragranced with premium oils creating a lasting aroma. Our soybean wax
is grown domestically and supports our local farmers. Soy wax is bio-degradable and
our candles are perfect for the environmentally conscious home.
We provide private labeling for our wholesale customers. For a one time setup fee of
$25, we will design your labels for you. Provide us with your design and/or logo you
have created in a png or jpeg format with a transparent background and we will send
you a sample label for your approval. FedEx Kinko’s can format this for you for less
than $50 if you do not already have it in this format. We can ship your candles
with Dallas Soy Candles labels, your newly designed private labels, or without labels if
you want to apply your own. We provide safety guidelines on the bottom of all our
candles.
We require an initial wholesale minimum order of $300. This is to be paid
prior to pouring and shipping your order. We sell our candles by the case which
includes 12 candles. You can choose 1 to 2 fragrances/scents per case. That would
mean one style of candles and up to two scents/per case. For larger volume orders, call
for a quote.

Our massage candles will keep your customers coming back again and again. In designing our massage
candles, we wanted a massage candle that would feel wonderful and have anti-aging benefits but not
greasy. We designed our soy massage candles with all natural ingredients and a skin safe scented
fragrance added for a lasting aroma. Your skin will feel wonderful and not oily.
We are offering the massage candle now in our 4 oz. square metal tin. With a bit of a classy look, it
has a clear window lid and the massage oil can be poured easily from the
corner of the square tin versus the round tin. It is the same price as the
round tin.
Soy massage candles burn at a low grade temperature close to our body
temperature. Light the candle and let it burn for about 30 minutes so you
have melted enough oil/wax for your massage. Then blow out the candle and
you are ready for a warm sensuous massage.

DISADVANTAGES OF SOY CANDLES
Because soy wax is all natural, there are no preservatives. As a result, occasionally, some white
frosting may appear on the candle. It may be a few spots anywhere on the candle and it looks
similar to “cauliflower.”
A soy candle needs 3 to 5 days to “cure” properly and when the candle is cured it will have a better
scent throw. Soy candles have a lower melting point than paraffin candles so they will sweat at
around 80 degrees and above. If left in the heat, the candle will melt and not burn properly. Minor
sweating will not hurt the soy candle. However, if left in excessive heat like 100 degrees, the
candle will melt and may not burn properly.
Soy wax can on occasion have a tendency to “pull away” from the container in a cooler environment.
It will appear as wet spots or you can see that the wax has pulled away from the container. This
does not always occur but it is known as “normal shrinkage” in soy candles. However, you may notice
that the soy wax will expand once it is in a warmer environment.
The frosting and shrinkage have no effect on the scent or burning of the candle. These are merely
cosmetic disadvantages that sometimes occur when working with all natural soy wax. You will still
have a clean burning candle that is better for the environment.
SOY WAX HISTORY
Soy wax is quite a recent invention. It was only in 1991, when Michael Richards, when looking for a
cheaper alternative for beeswax, that he developed soy wax. There was a big demand for natural
wax candles, but beeswax was about 10 times more expensive than paraffin. Michael Richards
tested different natural plant waxes and finally ended up with a vegetable wax a candle wax that
consisted of hydrogenated soybean oil.
Cargill bought in 2001 the patent of Michael's soy wax innovation. Now Cargill manufactures
soybean wax, which is supplied to soy wax candle producers.

TIPS FOR BURNING SOY CANDLES
Before lighting your soy candle, the wick should be trimmed back about 1/4” to 1/2” each time.
Otherwise, you may notice that the wick may make some crackling sounds, smoking soot, and the
candle will tend to burn too fast.
It is recommended that you do not burn the candle more than 4 hours at a time to achieve the most
of the candle. Otherwise, you will have less overall burn time of the soy candle. However, make
sure on the first burn that the candle pools completely to the edges of the container which may be
up to 5 to 6 hours.
Otherwise, you may create a “tunnel.” The candle would then not burn all the way to the edges
since soy candles have memory on how they have previously burned. Allow your soy candle to cool
and harden before relighting.
Discontinue use of the burning the candle when there is only ½” of wax left in the bottom
preventing a potential fire hazard. Keep burning soy candles away from children, pets and
flammable materials. Never leave burning candles unattended.
Soy candles should not be left for a long time in direct sunlight to prevent the color from fading.
If the soy candle is placed directly under a florescent light it may sweat which is only a cosmetic
disadvantage. You may want to display it where the light is not directly on the soy candle.
Do not move the candle while it is burning. Extinguish the candle if the flame becomes too high or
the candle is flickering repeatedly. Let it cool and then trim back the wick ¼” to ½” and it will burn
better.

Minimum Requirements
Current turnaround time for wholesale orders is approximately 2 weeks. However, our busy
season is mid -September to December. Orders may take up to 3 weeks during this time of year.
If we can process your order quicker, we will do so. Minimum wholesale orders must be at least
$300 before shipping.
We sell by the case and we offer the flexibility to order 2 fragrances/scents in one case
without an additional charge on some sizes. Therefore, it would be 6 candles of one style and
fragrance while the other 6 is the same style but a different fragrance. We do offer discounts
at certain volume levels so if you are interested in buying a larger quantity that we do not have
listed, give us a call us and we will put together a quote for you.
All orders must be paid for prior to processing of your order. If you do not pay online, we will
e-mail you an invoice and you can pay online via credit card through PayPal. You do not have to
have an account with PayPal to do so.
Private Labeling
We offer private labeling in which we can customize the labels with your Company name and logo.
Provide us your artwork in a png or jpeg format with a transparent background. If you need
assistance with this, FedEx Kinko’s can usually do this for you for under $50. We charge a $25
setup fee once artwork is received in the requested format. We will design a label and e-mail it
to you for approval prior to production. Sell top quality soy candles using your own labels. By
using your own labels, the customers will return to your store for their favorite scented soy

candles in the future. You can increase loyalty with your customers and they will love our
environmentally safe soy candles. By customizing your labels this will enhance your uniqueness in
the marketplace.
If you do not care for private labeling, we will provide our standard labels with Dallas Soy
Candles on the jar or you can apply your own labels. We are not offering our Soy Massage
Candles with a private label at this time. Our Soy Massage Candles will come with our standard
Dallas Soy Candles label and logo.
Placing an Order
Once an order is placed you will need to fill out the Resale and Tax Exempt form and fax it to
us at 469-322-2646 or you can scan it and e-mail it to [email protected]
so we can have this on file for our records. If you are a wholesale purchaser from Texas, you
will need to include on the form your Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit Number. If you are outof-state, you will need to include on the form your registration or Federal Taxpayers Registry.
If you do not want to order online, you can call us and place your order. To assist you with this,
you can fill out the Wholesale Order Form and fax it to us at 469-322-2646 and then we will
invoice you on PayPal. We do not accept credit card numbers over the phone or on the wholesale
order form.
General Shipping Information
Dallas Soy Candles ships standard FedEx, UPS rates, and USPS (Priority Mail), which are based
on package weight, size, and distance shipped. For shipments more than 500 lbs., we will ship
LTL. To preview charges, enter the items you want to order into your shopping cart. If it is an
order that will be shipped LTL the online shopping cart will not be able to display the correct
amount. For smaller orders like 3 to 4 cases, the shipping prices should be accurate. When you
are done, enter your billing and shipping information, then the rates will be displayed for you to
choose a delivery preference. Sometimes the actual shipping price may vary and if it is in your
favor, we will refund you the difference. Currently, we only ship in the United States.
Delivery Time
Orders for candles that all materials are in stock will be processed within approximately 2 weeks
and then shipped. Orders are produced once payment has been received and shipped when
payment has cleared. Soy candle wax is 100% natural so once the wax has been poured it needs
time to “cure.” Therefore, we do not ship until 3 to 5 days after the candles are poured in order
to minimize frosting and/or shrinkage.
If a particular scent and or size candle is not in stock and needs to be ordered, we will notify
you via e-mail or phone and you can decide if you want to wait on the item or make a different
choice. If you choose to wait, it may delay the shipment about a week provided suppliers have it
in stock. If you choose to wait, the backordered item can ship out later once it is in stock. Due
to availability and vendor issues, we can only provide an estimate as to when this will occur.
During October and December, orders may take up to 3 weeks for production depending on the
volume at the time.

Payments for backordered items are made up front as part of the original order. This helps
keep shipping costs down, as it would be more expensive to charge for two separate shipments.
If you choose to remove the backordered item from your order, a refund will be issued that is
consistent with the original method of payment.
General Return Policy

2. All claims for shortages and/or damages must be reported to Dallas Soy Candles within 5
days of receipt of merchandise.
3. After a review of your request, an exchange will be done or a credit will be applied to a
future purchase.
4. Exchanges or credit towards future purchases will be based on the value of the
merchandise at the time of purchase. Shipping and handling fees are not refundable.
