FIELDBOSS Version 2.0 Release Notes - March 2015 FIELDBOSS HVAC 2.0 is our major update following version 1.7 released in January 2015. Version 2.0 adds a substantial amount of HVAC contractor required functionality and contains over 100 new features and technology enhancements. SALES MANAGEMENT ENHANCEMENTS SALES MANAGEMENT Complete new end-to-end sales process based on industry best practices for opportunity management, quoting and estimating, work order and job costing through to invoicing and reporting. Manage your estimated gross profit on the quote/estimate and through every step of work on both small and large jobs in near real-time. Manage all sales tasks and activities including email tracking and task management to gain a complete up-to-the minute view of your sales and service work. Fix integration costing for Write-in products. ESTIMATING Completely new cost categorization across quoting, work orders and projects: o Labor hours and costs o Material o Subcontractor o Expenses o Equipment hours and costs Customer specific pricing for rates and markups with the ability to override defaults (with sufficient security) and see near real-time updates of margin and profit. MAINTENANCE CONTRACT MANAGEMENT Flexible creation of user-defined Contract Types and Equipment Types to allow each installation to configure their own for reporting and tracking purposes. Maintenance Contract escalations to track up to 5 years of price changes. Maintenance Contract profit reporting and dynamic charts. Added “Special Conditions” and “Exclusions” multi-line text fields to the Maintenance Contract SERVICE ACTIVITY MANAGEMENT Added “Division” lookup to the Service Activity and Project forms to identify what Division the Project is under and what Division the Service Activity (labor) is allocated to. This allows technicians to work across division and ensure their labor cost gets posted to the correct division. Over 50 new Health and Safety tracking metrics for work performed in the field. Track Equipment sign-out and check-in to ensure you know who has a piece of equipment at any time and the history of scheduling. Move “Copy to actual button” on Service Activity from form to ribbon. Filter Job Site when an Account is selected and Equipment when a Job site is selected on the Service Activity. OZONE DEPLETION SUBSTANCE COMPLIANCE New “Ozone Depleting Substance” tracking to provide the ability to update government regulated activities for HVAC. PROJECT MANAGEMENT Added a “Project Manager” look-up to the case, opportunity, project, quote, and work order and invoice forms. New Project reports and dynamic charts to help you manage your projects and financial metrics. New filtered views on a project for all cost categories to quickly see details that make up labor, material, subcontractor and expenses. Automatic % complete calculations for projects. Calculate costing for Equipment used on site. Added system-wide default for Payment Terms in configuration settings. This will be used if an Account does not have a selected Payment Terms. New Sales Tax Engine with flexible setup and integration with Dynamics GP. Payment Terms calculations in FIELDBOSS to mirror Dynamics GP. WORK ORDER MANAGEMENT Clean up alignment in the Work Order screen/form. PURCHASING MANAGEMENT Track Purchase Order commitments against work orders and projects. This provides near real-time updates of purchase orders committed costs and actual costs against work orders and projects. There is the additional ability to update work order and project actual costs after you invoice a customer to reflect correct margin and profits. MOBILE ENHANCEMENTS - SERVICE EXPENSE TRACKING Capture expenses in the field on the mobile device. TIME TRACKING Ability to override actual hours with automatic update of the end date/time. GPS TRACKING Update GPS coordinates for Job Site when performing work. Configurable tracking of GPS coordinates for mobile technicians. GPS coordinates updates on all scheduled maintenance to determine quickly identify maintenance work upcoming near your location. INTEGRATION ENHANCEMENTS INTEGRATION TO DYNAMICS GP Added a new “Integration Y/N” field in the configuration settings. This will hide/enable certain fields depending on whether your company is using the integration to GP or not. Added 2 new labor rate fields on the Labor Rate tables called Shift Premium 1 and Shift Premium 2. This will allow customers to add additional costs to an existing labor rate for shift premiums.
