Non-Profit Organization Beer Garden Application DEADLINE TO APPLY IS APRIL 1st AT 12:00 PM Fiesta Hermosa Beer Garden Application Memorial Day or Labor Day 2015 Thank you for your interest in participating in the Fiesta Hermosa Beer Garden! The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce is proud to offer the opportunity for local non-profit organizations to serve at the Charity Beer Garden each year in order to raise money for their efforts to better our community. Over the 40 year history of Fiesta Hermosa, the Chamber has provided the opportunity for these groups to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support their causes. Each year, the Chamber holds a drawing to select 10 non-profit groups and one alternate to provide volunteers to serve during the Memorial Day and Labor Day Fiestas (5 groups per event). Attached are the selection criteria and application procedure for this year’s Fiesta Beer Garden. We often receive more applications than we have spaces available, so we make every attempt for this process to be fair and equitable to each applicant. REQUIREMENTS: All organizations applying to be in the Beer Garden must have a legal address based physically in Hermosa Beach and must be members of the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce for a minimum of one year prior to be eligible to apply. Organizations selected must be an Internal Revenue Service approved Not For Profit organization (501C3 or 501C6). Each organization may only participate in the Beer Garden for ONE Fiesta each year. No organization will work in the Beer Garden AND have a gratis booth space during the same Fiesta. An organization may choose to be in the Beer Garden and purchase a booth in the same Fiesta. If you are selected, your organization must provide the Chamber with an insurance certificate naming Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, City of Hermosa Beach, LA County and Bell Event Services as additionally insured in the amount of $1 million in liability. This year’s drawing will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Hermosa Beach Historical Society between 5:30pm -7:00pm. Memorial Day weekend dates are May 23, 24, & 25th and for Labor Day weekend dates are September 5, 6, and 7th. You must submit a completed volunteer schedule no later than 3 weeks prior to the appropriate Fiesta. PLEASE NOTE: Non-Profit Organizations meeting the minimum standards will be eligible for consideration to participate in the Fiesta Beer Garden. There is no implicit or stated guarantee that any organization that meets the minimum standards will be permitted to participate in the Fiesta Beer Garden. The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau reserves all rights and privileges to determine the organizations that will be permitted to participate in the Fiesta Beer Garden annually. Each participating organization will be guaranteed a minimum of $2,000 each Fiesta for volunteering their time. All tips collected will be split between the five groups at each Fiesta.
