Preamble
We have decided to hold this sale early as to allow purchasers to settle these birds in
their new loft in time for the 2015/16 breeding season.
We have been members of the Punchbowl Pigeon Club for 14 years, with the club
being the largest in the CCF with a membership in the mid twenties, this club also
boasts several of the CCF’s top fanciers, fanciers of the calibre the Hawa Brothers,
Poi Weyton, J Lawson, R Townsend, R&G Butler and R Betland to name but a few.
The Steve Bishop Janssens have been one of the most successful Janssen lines,
having performed at the top level for many fanciers. These Janssens go back to some
of the best of the original imported Janssens. Many other families of pigeons have
been imported in recent times and are yet to stand the test of time. Janssens such as
the “Bishop Janssens” have adapted to Australian conditions and more than hold
their own with other birds. They have been an exceptional cross to other families
and Janssen lines. Cannot be recommended highly enough to anyone wishing to try
these in their own loft.
Clarrie Henshaw’s Meuleman and Meuleman/Janssens winning for several fanciers in
many CCF locations, two of the better known birds bred by Clarrie are one that was
gifted to the Hawa Bros. that was a triple winner being placed highly in the fed on
each occasion. Another being one bred for Keith Wrightson (Dive Bros.) that won
two Combines in successive years. The Meuleman birds of Clarrie’s go back to the
original Richard Clingan imports and the Janssen line go back to the original son of
the Dutch Champion “Rocky” imported by Des Sippets.
Any bird obtained from the late Keith Saggers was always of the highest calibre.
When Keith acquired birds they had to meet a strict criteria, hence his reputation for
selling birds of the highest quality and such were those obtained by me of the 02
Smeulders line along with the Sheer Elegance and 06 General lines purchased from
Poi Weyton. Again, these Janssens represent the best of the early imports and have
proven themselves over many years; I would not have persevered with them if they
were not producing the goods, in a club as strong and competitive as Punchbowl you
cannot put up with just average performances.
As can be seen by my results these birds have excelled in the short to middle
distance events, where I have specialised. My training, feeding and breeding
program has been developed to win at this distance against strong competition and
large bird numbers at both club and federation level. Anyone wishing to be more
competitive in the shorter races, or who wish to put more speed into the birds they
already have should not overlook this opportunity to do so.

Some of the Main Results Achieved
Over the years that I have competed in the Punchbowl Club I have won 24 outright
1st Prizes, 15 x 2nd prize and 10 x 3rd prize against an average of 25 members. I have
topped the CCF on two occasions along with winning 2nd fed on 3 occasions.
Club Average Results Achieved
1 Early Series Average 2004 – 25 Competitors
3rd Overall Average 2004 – 25 Competitors
3rd Early Series Average 2008 – 27 Competitors
3rd Early Series Average 2009 – 24 Competitors
3rd Early Series Average 2010 – 24 Competitors
2nd Early Series Average 2012 – 25 Competitors
1st Early Series Average 2013 – 19 Competitors
1st Overall Average 2013 – 19 Competitors
2nd Short Series Average 2014 – 25 Competitors
st
In 2013 I won 9 x 1st club, 3 x 2nd club and 2 x 3rd club only racing 19 races for the
season, along with finishing 20th in the fed point score.
Due to the high losses being experienced by the CCF in 2014 I finished the season
early deciding to keep my remaining birds for 2yr olds and although I did not
complete the season I finished 2nd in the club Short Series Average and still managed
to finish 6th the Fed Average. In one race I had 6 birds on the drop to win the club.
Since commencing to race in the Punchbowl Club I have managed each year to
generally finish in the top 10% of the federation races.
Note: All birds sold will come with a computer generated pedigree and while there
will be some older stock birds on offer these are only being disposed of due to the
fact that I don’t know when next I will be able to race again and it would be a shame
to waste them while they are still able to breed winners for their new owners.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all purchasers of these birds on offer
and hope they provide as much success for them as they have for me.
Regards,
Harry Tsakirakis.

Testimonials
I have known Harry for approximately 15 years and have found him to be very
professional and consistent in his approach to pigeon racing. He has succeeded in
winning many club averages over this time as has been very competitive at
Federation level.
He has developed a family of birds that not only race and handle well have
performed at the highest level at both sprint and middle races.
I have found Harry to be a very sincere and honest person, and would like to take
this opportunity to wish him all the best for the future.
John Lawson.
Harry Tsakirakis is a dedicated pigeon fancier, racing in the very strong
Punchbowl/Bankstown Pigeon Club.
Over the years Harry has established a strong family of pigeons that perform
exceptionally well in the early season races. I have had the pleasure of visiting
Harry’s loft on many occasions and it has always been a pleasure to look at his birds
as his loft presents very well, always clean and the birds always look in very good
health.
Harry’s results have established him as one of the top 3 or 4 flyers within the club
with consistent performances in a club that boasts approximately 24 members each
year.
Harry has also achieved top 3 placing’s in 6 out of 7 of last seasons club sprint
averages, having also won 1st Club Averages in 2013.
I would recommend these pigeons to any person that would like to acquire top
quality race birds to add to their loft.
