Michael Moquette • Managing Director, Equinoxe Investments SA, Switzerland
Michael heads the family office, which was founded in 1930. Previously, he had a long career with a major North
American bank responsible for the international operations of investment banking, structured finance and latterly
wealth management. Mr. Moquette has been the strategic advisor to major Asian, European and Arab families
restructuring their industrial, commercial and family interests.

Jemima Goldsmith-Khan • Goldsmith Family, UK
Jemima Khan is a writer and campaigner. She is associate editor of the New Statesman and European editor-at-large
for Vanity Fair. She executive produced the 2014 BAFTA nominated documentary ‘We Steal Secrets’ and co-executive
produced ‘Unmanned: America’s Drone War,’ a documentary about drones, released last year. She has been an
ambassador for UNICEF UK since 2001.
Matthew Freud • Chairman, freuds, UK
Matthew is the Chairman of freuds, the international public relations and marketing company he founded in 1985. He is
involved in a wide range of charitable, political and cultural activities, including acting as a Trustee of Comic Relief and
sitting on the board of the National Portrait Gallery. He is a former Governor of the British Film Institute and Council
member of the Royal College of Art. He was also a member of the Communications Committee for the London 2012
Olympic Games.
Chauwei Yak • Managing Director, GAO Capital, Singapore
Ms. Yak is the Managing Director of GAO Capital, the investment arm of her family business based in Singapore. She is
also Managing Partner in GAO Advisors which is the hedge fund advisory unit of GAO Capital. GAO Advisors helps
family offices and foundations create hedge fund portfolios customised to their needs. Ms. Yak is primarily responsible for
sourcing and researching new managers, with a focus on funds in Asia and trading-oriented strategies.
Hannatu Gentles • Chief Operating Officer, TY Danjuma Family Office, UK
Hannatu is a second-generation member of the Danjuma family. Hannatu holds a joint honours BA degree in
Theology and Philosophy from Nottingham University, UK. Hannatu also has an Advanced Certificate in Marketing
from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and attended the Investment Management Programme (Equity Investment
Management) 2009/2010 at the London Business School. Hannatu has more than 12 years of marketing and
e-commerce experience in the UK. She is currently Chief Operating Officer at TY Danjuma Family Office, she joined
the Family Office from Emirates Airline where she was employed as e-commerce Manager, UK.
Gunnlaugur Erlendsson • Founder & CEO, Erlendsson Private Office, Iceland
Gunnlaugur has over a decade of experience dealing with family offices and private equity in London, coordinating
unique investment opportunities between large family investment offices and other investors. Originally from Iceland
Mr. Erlendsson set up a London based family office for a UHNW individual over a decade ago, and is currently focusing
on launching Iceland Tyres, a premium clean tech tyre company, as well as looking to develop innovative geothermal
power opportunities.
Simon Foster • CFO, TY Danjuma Family Office, UK
Simon joined the TY Danjuma Family Office as CFO in 2011. Simon qualified as an accountant with Ernst & Young
and has 19 years of post- qualification experience in international investment environments. He is an experienced
Family Office CFO and has in excess of 16 years’ experience acting in Director, Company Secretary and CFO capacities
for diverse international family offices, private investment vehicles and their portfolio companies from bases in the UK
and Bermuda. Simon has twice been the architect for the initial creation of family office / private investment structures.
Most recently he acted as interim Group Finance Director for Technis International PLC, a quoted technology and
intellectual property consolidator. He has extensive knowledge of budgeting, strategic planning and performance
reporting including GAAP & Regulatory. Recent reporting experience includes public markets, FSA, BMA, US GAAP,
UK GAAP and IFRS.
Karen Clark • CFP®, Director, SandAire Limited, USA/UK
Karen has over 20 years of experience advising families on all aspects of wealth management, with expertise in multijurisdiction families and cross-border planning and investing. Her expertise includes creating strategies and partnering
with advisors to develop, coordinate and facilitate thoughtful strategies for clients and their families. She works with
families focusing on matters such as family governance, education, intergenerational wealth transfer, philanthropy, and
creating successful successors. Her experience includes similar roles at BNY Mellon Private Wealth Management in Los
Angeles and Bank of America’s Private Bank in Miami and San Francisco. She is a member of the Financial Planning
Association, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
May Makhzoumi • President, Makhzoumi Foundation, UAE
May is president of the Makhzoumi Foundation and director of Future Pipes Group. Mrs. Makhzoumi is heavily
involved in the corporate and family governance of the Future Pipes Group. She is an active philanthropist and runs an
NGO and holds a degree in pharmacy from the American University of Beirut.
Marwan Naja • Managing Partner, Manixer, Switzerland
Marwan is an entrepreneur and investor. In recent years he has focused on the education sector. He serves as
Chairman of Bellevue Group which owns and operates schools in the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Marwan
is also a founding investor and board member of New College of the Humanities – London. He has served on
many boards and has held positions as Managing Director at Deutsche Bank and as Head of Private Equity at
Pictet & Cie. He holds a BA from Indiana University and an MBA from The Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
Paul Rebeiro • General Manager, AMSAF Investment LLC, UAE
Mr. Paul Rebeiro is general manager of AMSAF Investment LLC; the single family office of a prestigious and highly
respected family, based in Dubai. He was born and educated in the UK and has with 32 years’ experience since
qualifying as an accountant.
Mr. Rebeiro has held a number of listed company directorships, the last of which was with Unicorn Entertainments,
preparing Michael Flatley’s personal business (Lord of the Dance) for an IPO on the London Stock Exchange.
