Employment Better jobs lead to more money More you work, leads to more promotions and therefore more income However, in UK there is incentive not to work as of high benefits – this leads to income inequality too as unemployment levels are high Types of employment – manual labour/office work/CEO work Depends on location in country really – northern England more goods based, southern England more services based 3. Inheritance One of the main causes of income inequality Many of the rich in the UK inherited their wealth People being born Lords Much harder to become a Lord out of working rather than being born one You can’t help how you’re born/where you’re born/who you’re born to Conclusion: Choose the most important factor
