A special Thanks to Lori McLaughlin for all her organization and keeping Chris on the ball! The Tampa Bay Chapter received four Proclamations for National Surveyors Week. The City of Clearwater, The City of Dunedin, The City of St. Petersburg and the County of Pinellas all recognized National Surveyors Week with Proclamations! Great job everyone! Let us see if we can double that amount next year. VOLUME 21 ISSUE 3 MARCH 2015 PAGE 3 NEXT MEETING March Chapter Meeting Thursday, March 26, 2015 5:30 pm Happy Hour 6:30 pm Meeting and Dinner Cost: $20 members & guests $15 associate members Credit/debit accepted Location: Applebee’s 5110 East Bay Dr Clearwater, FL 33764 VOLUME 21 ISSUE 3 MARCH 2015 PAGE 4 Florida Surveying & Mapping Society Tampa Bay Chapter w/ Ridge Chapter Thursday, February 19, 2015 Meeting Minutes Location: Macaroni Grill, 132 Brandon Town Center Dr, Brandon, FL 33511 Meeting Start: 6:37 pm Persons in Attendance: 34 members and guests • The meeting was called to order with President Joe Shatto reading the anti-‐trust statement • Past President Leon Hampton gave the invocation • Officer and committee reports will be held until next meeting • Erik Hickman gave an update on the TBSMSF Golf Tournament; discussion the Tampa Bay Chapter about making a donation was tabled until next meeting • President Shatto introduced special guest, FSMS Executive Director Marilyn Evers, who gave updates on the FSMS and BPSM boards, the PAC fund, the upcoming conference in Naples and other society news • President Shatto introduced special guest, FSMS President Bill Rowe, who spoke about the trying to work with the regulatory board and the process in general as well as a legislative update • Chris McLaughlin gave out dates for our local proclamations: o March 5 – City of Clearwater o March 10 – Pinellas County o March 12 – City of St. Petersburg o March 19 – City of Dunedin A motion was made by Boyd Allen to adjourn the meeting.
