Dear Parents, Guardians, Seniors and their Guests,
The Post Prom is the parent’s gift to our graduates. Please read the rules and information below regarding Post Prom at GVHS
on May 22nd. Please fill in, sign the contract and hand it in to the school office by Friday, May 15, 2015.
Each senior and guest must submit a signed contract complete with parent/guardian’s signature, in order to attend Post
Prom. No Exceptions!
All seniors may attend the Post Prom Party even if they do not go to Prom.
We appreciate your cooperation and hope this will be a great night filled with wonderful memories!!!

All District rules and regulations are in effect for Post Prom. Any student/guest who exhibits questionable behavior
or appears under the influence will be questioned and a parent/guardian will be notified and District policy will be
followed. Garnet Valley Students and their parents are responsible for any damages that may occur as a result of their
actions or the actions of their outside guest.
Car/ Clothing Drop off and Valet Parking Procedures:
Clothing - All bags with a change of clothing must be dropped off at GVHS prior to Post Prom by a parent. The bag should be
clearly marked with the attendee’s name and phone number. The Post Prom co-chairs, and security will search all bags. Bags
with locks will not be accepted.
Cars- Seniors and guests riding in a limousine or other vehicles, can have their car dropped off by a parent at the GVHS.
The Post Prom valet staff will be there to collect the keys and they will be securely stored.
Do not leave the car without checking in with the valet staff. Keys will not be returned until dismissal of Post Prom. No
exceptions.
No student or guest will be allowed to go to their car for any reason.

Clothing and Car Drop Off- Clothing bags and cars must be dropped off at GVHS Front (Office) entrance at the
following times:
Thursday, May 21st from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Friday, May 22nd from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM

No bags, beverages containers or food items will be permitted into the school with the student/guest the evening of
Post Prom. Food and beverages will be provided all evening. Anyone arriving with a bag will be delayed by at least 30
minutes, so that a Post Prom official can check the bag before allowing entry.

All students, those at the prom, or coming from home should arrive at GVHS by 11:45 pm. Parents/Guardians will
receive a phone call if a student has not arrived by midnight.

No student or his or her guest will be allowed to leave the Post Prom until 5:00 am. If you have a special
circumstance and must leave early, then a written request must be submitted from a parent/guardian to the GVHS
administration at least 48 hours before the PROM. Submitting a request does not guarantee early dismissal. The
GVHS Administration will call to confirm the note. The request must be approved by the administration. If the request
is approved, the student and/or guest must be picked up by the parent/guardian at the Cafeteria Doors by the large Gym.

Medication: School rules apply for all students and guests. EpiPens, inhalers and insulin (Including syringe) maybe
carried as long as parent permission is on file with the High School nurse’s office and the medication has the student’s
name on it. No other medication is allowed in Post Prom. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the High
School nurse’s office.
