Adult Drop In, Community Room at the Richmond Villa, St. Peters
Join the volunteers and staff at the drop in centre in a supportive and welcoming environment. We meet
weekly and we regularly have community kitchens, bingo games, card games, group trips, and holiday
meals. Drop in’s are welcomed.

The Incredible Years series – Richmond Education Centre/Academy, Louisdale, NS
SchoolsPlus will be offering The Incredible Years series to parents/guardians of children up to 12 years
of age in the Strait-Richmond area. The sessions will take place over a 10-week period and will focus
on - Supporting your child’s education, Promoting positive behaviours, and reducing challenging
behaviors. *A hot meal, homemade meal will be served for parents/guardians and children each week.

A free 4 session educational series presented by GASHA Mental Health Services Adult Community
Program open to the public – aged 19 and over. Join a Mental Health Clinician as they discuss:
understanding common mental health concerns & symptoms, community resources, building supports
& crisis planning, stress reduction & problem solving, changing negative thoughts & developing

Join Family Place Resource weekly for a FREE, fun, informative and lively playgroup with a focus on
infant feeding and healthy nutrition. Give children the opportunity to enjoy both free and structured
play, story time, and craft time while learning about healthy behaviours. Drop in’s are welcomed.

Strengthening Families, Port Hawkesbury, NS
For Parents, Teens, and Youth aged 7-11 and 12-16 years old. Parents and youth participate in separate
sessions to discuss a range of topics including communication, managing anger, coping with stress and
